Linda was very friendly and accommodating. Good, ample breakfasts both mornings and coffee/tea/cocoa available 24/7 with homemade cookies in the evening. It was the perfect overflow space for our large family. Good pizza available at the corner store.

Terrific location, delicious homemade breakfast (blueberry waffles on our morning!), nice room and gracious host. The perfect stop for our Route 2 road trip from Burlington, VT to mid-coast Maine. Hot tip: The restaurant at the golf course across the road is wonderful for lunch, drinks or dinner -- with romantic sunset views over the mountains. And families with little kids should check out the sunny Jefferson library -- good local history section for the parents and a cheery kids' section and nice playground out back.

Linda went way over board to accommodate my wife and I even the day after a big wedding and all rooms were filled for her event.  Our room was so beautiful and spotless and absolutely inviting . 
She cooked us up an awesome breakfast before we continued on our journey.

This comfortable low-key inn is my favorite place to stay whenever we head upstate for a visit. This time, as always, our room was comfortable and clean, and breakfast was delicious. Linda treated us as neighbors. Their early/late check-in/check-out policies were modified since our last trip but caused us no inconvenience.

Best breakfast and most gracious hosts.  We loved it.  We returned for a night to go to Santa's Village.  The Jefferson Inn is just one mile away.  The hosts truly care for their guests .  There is a sitting area with games.  We were in the Granny Stalbird Suite and it was just fine.  We are picky and stingy with giving 5 stars - the Jefferson Inn truly earned them.  See you again.

We had been away all winter and needed to open up our motorhome which is nearby.  It was going to take a couple of days so we decided to stay at the Jefferson Inn for 2 nights with our little dog. I have sent family members there in the past but had never stayed myself. It was so lovely, homey, and comfortable. Our room was the Sunset Room which provided us with the most perfect view of gorgeous sunsets over the mountains. The bed was so comfortable that I really didn't want to get up in the mornings.  But I'm glad I did because the home-cooked breakfast each day was delicious. For our first breakfast, we enjoyed French toast, home fries, and eggs. Yogurt with fresh berries. And delicious juice and coffee. The portions were so generous I couldn't eat it all. And for the second breakfast, I chose eggs Benedict - so yummy.  And Andi, the manager, is also a baker and leaves delicious cookies for your afternoon snack. 
The owners are very hands-on and provide exceptional customer service. As their sign says in the dining room, " Enter as strangers, leave as friends." 
And it was especially great that our dog was allowed to stay without the crazy fees that motels in the area often charge. 
It was such a pleasant and reasonably priced stay - I would love to do it again sometime - just because!!



Wow, where to start?  The staff, the accommodations, the location, the views, the breakfasts, all were excellent!  The Jefferson Inn sits on a hillside and when standing in the front yard, you are looking at the backside of Mt. Washington.  Breathtaking.  Linda and Andi were amazing hosts, engaged, friendly, always available and a bit chatty which suited us well as we are too!  The made to order breakfasts every morning varied and delicious every day.  Upon returning to the Inn after a fun filled day, fresh baked homemade cookies awaited us.  The Jefferson Inn is the only place we will stay whenever we are in the Jefferson, Lancaster area!  Thank you Linda and Andi!

We booked this spot last minute because we needed a place to stay while visiting the NH Ice Castles (just 45 minutes away) and we are SO GLAD we did!! 

The owner Linda was very warm and kind! Fresh cookies were available at check-in and our rooms (Granny Stalbird’s Suite) were ready and clean. Bedding and pillows were comfy and our kids were happy to pick out some board games to play and DVDS to watch during our stay. Bathroom had ample linens for the 5 of us.  The breakfast was served family style and amazing (especially the chocolate chip, and banana nut pancakes) and included fresh fruit, fresh maple syrup and multiple warm options! 

Beautiful view and scenery just down the road. We left already deciding we would like to go back and experience the comfort, kindness and hospitality offered at The Jefferson Inn for a second time. Thank you Linda, and see you again soon!  :) 


This is a lovely inn, more like a B&B actually, with the emphasis on the second B.  Rates include an outstanding breakfast that changes daily.  During our stay options included individual omelets, French toast, oatmeal with apples and raisins, fresh fruit cups with and without yogurt, bacon, sausage and more. There are lots of toys for kids and board games for older kids.  They also have a couple of rooms that are dog friendly and our large Bernese Mountain Dog was welcomed with open arms.  The owners and staff are also super friendly and helpful.  There aren’t many options of places to stay in this area of the north country so it’s great that this gem is available to travelers!

We just left this wonderful B&B and already hope to be back again soon! The host Linda is so hospitable and friendly and made us feel welcome right away. Our room was on the 3rd floor (New England)  and was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfasts are so delicious! Yummy cookies were out for guests as well! Only 5 minutes from Santa's Village which was a plus for us during our visit.

We loved our stay at the Jefferson Inn! It was in a very convenient location and easy to get to from Mount Washington and the Cog Railway. The innkeepers were beyond gracious, welcoming, and warm. This was the most personable place we have ever stayed! Our room was very clean and comfortable and the common areas were cozy. Our favorite part of the stay was the wonderful breakfast served. There was a wide selection and the food was delicious. We would certainly return again and encourage everyone to make the Jefferson Inn a part of your trip.
