The property is situated right next to the beach, so that was great! If you go to the Outer Banks be prepared to climb stairs as all units are on stilts, understandably! The Wright Brothers museum is a must, it’s in Kill Devil Hills, not Kitty Hawk! Also, nice rides up to Corolla, the uppermost part (visit to Whalebone Museum was interesting!) or south to Cape Hatteras. This lighthouse is being restored and will reopen spring ‘26, but gift shop is open! Built-up area, but still has that beach town vibe! We had a couple of great beach days with no crowds!
