Sioux Motel

A quaint old school motel with all new amenities and attentive and kind and staff.  It surpassed my expectations.

Owner was super nice,  The King bed was new, and comfortable. It is an older motel, but was very clean with fresh towels.  One night stop on way to Hill City.  Would stay again.

The owner was very helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I would definitely stay here again.

Quiet,  large room with fridge and microwave. Comfortable bed.

We were traveling and hit a coyote & had car damage so needed a place to stay. Owner so nice, room clean, beds comfortable, subway and a pizza place not far away and 2 gas stations. It may be an older place but well kept up. Glad we found it. Would recommend

This is a nice little back your car up to your door motel. No complaints. They have a really nice little area to sit and relax. Overall I was really nice. Only complaint is one of the bed seemed wore out

Small property with the convenience of parking in front of your door and walking right into your room. Room was average size with two queen beds, really no where to put up a cot or an air bed if you had extra company. Clean room with mini fridge. Heat and Fan for air flow worked well. The biggest turn off was each bed had a child’s plastic (pee) sheet under the the main sheet that was super uncomfortable, it was on both beds. Really rule oriented place, don’t do this, don’t use that, or we will charge you. Other than feeling like we were being scrutinized it was decent for the price.

We did not expect this quaint motel to be so nice. The customer service lady was very hospitable. The room had easy drive-up access. It also had a rustic feel to it and all the amenities one would expect: microwave, coffee maker, mini-fridge. The room was very clean and the water pressure in the shower was heavenly:).

Great little older model,  a blast from the past! Very clean,  could use some updating but very clean,  quite and VERY reasonable rates! Only draw back was no ice machine but the sweet lady at the counter gave us some from her freezer which i think had been there many a moons. Did i mention it was very clean :)

This little motel is a great find. The price is right and it is one of the cleanest motels we have stayed in. The rooms and property were immaculately maintained. Beds were comfortable I booked the room Online about 1 hour before getting to Murdo and the check in was quick and easy and the lady serving us was very nice. I highly recommend if you need a place to stay in Murdo.  Note: They do not have free breakfast but the Pioneer Auto Museum is just down the street and they have a great Diner with an awesome breakfast menu.

This is an old-fashioned motor hotel (i.e., "motel") that is pretty much what you'd expect -- it's been around a while, the room smells a bit musty, and the amenities are very basic. There is no free breakfast, even though Trip Advisor and other booking sites say there is. That said, as others have mentioned, it is clean, the owners are friendly, and the price is right. And the wi-fi was surprisingly fast! If you're vegetarian (I'm not), avoid the Rusty Spur across the street -- it's old school and fun if you're looking for a burger/potatoes and beer, though.

Just What I Expected

Passing through on I-90. Convenient location, clean rooms, staff was great.  My son left his boots in the room and the staff was very accommodating when we picked them up a few days later.
