It was an enjoyable stay!  The room was clean and management responded quickly to my needs.

Perfect stay for beach trip,cheap,clean and simple. Just steps from the beach

I'm not sure why so many bad reviews. It is a simple basic place. No frills. It was clean. It was close to the beach. Owner was friendly. Beds aren't the best but we got a good nights sleep regardless. Yes the outside does have a fish smell. YOU ARE NEAR THE BEACH!! We stayed in room 5. There was plenty of hot water as soon as we realized the hot and cold were reversed. No carpet in this room so no worries about sand or anything.  Fridge and freezer work great. We didn't use the stove so I cant comment on that. I will say we reserved a room with two beds. We were pleasantly surprised that they were in separate rooms. I would definitely stay again.

Everything we could ask for and more! We scan into the room upon arrival and was able to unload as soon as we got there without hassle. Bet close to the beach and the view from the balcony was pretty amazing during the fireworks. 10/10

If you’re not concerned with Francy and just want to be a beach bum, this place is fine.  The price is one of the lowest at this beach but takes about 10 minutes to walk to the ocean.  It’s got a view of the bay across the street though.

Called ahead as I was arriving after 11pm. Very helpful service and I was able to get in my room and get rested upon arrival. The motel was reasonably priced compared to others in the area. I will say that it has seen better days, I think I woke the neighbors getting the swollen door open, and the blinds were in rough shape allowing light in. Things like this I expected with the price, so if you manage your expectations and need a quiet, clean place to get some shut-eye this place works. Newly tiled shower with nice hot water, comfy bed, and a freshly cleaned room. I recommend this place!

Nice simple motel

It was a decent price. But we never got new towels or wash clothes for a 4 night stay. The sheets on the bed as they said were clean but “bleach stained”. The carpet was gross. But it worked for the time being because no where else had openings and there was a no refund unless you do it 2 weeks before you go.

The property needs repairs on inside the carpet was wet and smelled molded. There was only a bar of hand soap no shower soap or shampoo. Good thing I brought my on . Never got any clean towels and the beds sheets hadn’t been changed good thing I brought my own bed linen and pillows . But it was convenient for check in didn’t have to talk to anyone and even got to check in earlier

This is a very laid back motel, my room wasn't ready, so they gave me a bigger room at no extra charge, the staff was very friendly, my first time to Atlantic beach, I was there to visit the Sand Dollar island, the room was amazingly clean, comfy bed and pillows, the ONLY thing I would recommend is having a small table between the chairs in the room and curtains for windows. The price was fair, not to high. If you're high class, this place isn't for you! If you're laid back down to earth, and don't need anything fancy this is the place for you 😊If I ever come back to Atlantic Beach I will be looking to stay here.

The unit was great for the price. It fit our family of 5 comfortably and had all the amenities needed for a short stay. We loved the location near the beach and staff was very friendly and helpful. Items such as additional towels, basic toiletries and kitchen items were available upon request but for a unit that accommodates up to 6, it would have been nice to have at least enough to get us started.

The Sand Dolaar is perfect for a quick trip or solo trip. Of you need comfort, this isn't for you. But its perfect for a get-a-way. Management has been great with any needs as well.

Perfect for beach

The room was a bit outdated, the front area had a fan that did not circulate the air so it was stuffy.  One of the lightbulbs fell out since it was shaking.  Other than that it was convenient to our needs.
