Last November I decided to follow through on my decision to stay here even with mixed reviews. The location was exactly what I needed so I figured how bad could it be. What a lovely time I had for the two nights there. Indeed it was perfect as far as equidistance from downtown and also the agricultural museum. My room was delightful. It was clean with a very comfortable bed. Coffee/tea service in the room is always welcomed by me. All of the staff was helpful and pleasant. Each evening there were drinks and popcorn in the lounge area for two hours. It was great to sit by the fireplace to relax with a G&T or two. In the morning the included breakfast had many choices along with some seriously strong coffee. When I re-read some of the negative reviews it was like hearing about a different hotel. My room was on the third floor facing State Street perhaps other parts are not as well maintained.
