Cute and clean room, and the bed is comfortable .

This was at least the third time I've stayed at this hotel, which is located about a half hour west of downtown Detroit. My room was exceptional for several reasons. The brick wall construction effectively minimized intrusive noise. The gas fireplace starts at the flip of a switch, was a welcome amenity on a cold day. The bathroom is thoroughly modern with granite vanity and trim and the biggest & softest towels anywhere. The gentleman who checked me in was courteous and totally professional. I would gladly stay here again in the future.

It was amazing, had a fireplace and all, very nice hotel stay.

Fireplace was perfect,  good for a weekend get away

Great place to stay! My room was very clean, nice size and came with a fireplace. I would definitely stay at the Fellows Creek Lodge again.

This hotel has been A1 for years. Everything is clean, the beds are comfortable, the staff are very nice, the toilet paper is grade A quality, the fridge is pretty big, the table and chairs are nice to have, and the aesthetic of the room is very homey/comforting. Whether you’re from out of town or you live near and just need to get away, this is the place to stay!

Stay here!

This gem of a motel lodge was amazing!  Very quiet, even with all rooms to capacity.  Room was adorable, very clean, keurig coffee, even conditioner!  Room had a very calming fireplace in it which we definitely used.  Highly recommend and we will definitely be back on our trips to Detroit.  Staff was very nice and accomodating upon check in and check out.

Wonderful motel to stay at. We booked rooms here while we visited the Eloise Asylum Haunted House Tour. Check in was fun with the friendly check in person. The rooms were clean and spacious. The gas fireplace was unexpected but very nice. Too bad is wasn't colder! Would definitely stay again if in the area and would certainly recommend to others.

I really enjoyed my stay at this motel. My room was spacious, clean, quiet and secure...even a bit luxurious especially the bathroom). The property itself was well-maintained and attractive. Good wifi, fridge & microwave, even a functioning gas fireplace. The bedding was crisp and the bed very comfortable. I intend to stay here again in the future.

Very clean and comfortable

Greeted by a very kind and friendly person at the front desk. The room was basic, but very clean, with a cosy gas fireplace in the corner. Basic toiletries are provided. Towels were not plush, but clean and serviceable, the bed linens were pristine. We hadn't expected much for the price, and were pleasantly surprised.  Decent free WiFi in the rooms, an acceptable TV. Fridge and microwave in room. 
One possible drawback is that the heater is on the other side of room from the bathroom, so it was a bit chilly in there in the middle of the night. No coffee maker.

Clean, cozy, basic

The property was very clean and well maintained with lots of flowers, plants and decor. The room was clean. However there was an overwhelming (scent), perhaps sandalwood? It was just too much so we aired out the room and cleaned the air conditioning filter and it seemed to help a bit. Other than that we will stay again.

I don't live in Michigan so I always stay at this place after a fun and naughty night at The Flight Club strip club, which is only five miles down the road.  It's a basic building with steel doors, but inside the rooms are cozy like a living room, complete with brick walls and a fireplace.  The fireplace is propane and will turn on with a simple black dial timer, and doesn't throw off a lot of heat but adds a nice ambience, especially on a cold winter day.  The floors are wood and ceramic tile.  The kind bed is comfy, and the wall heater/cooling unit works well but has a loud fan when it's running.  The Samsung flat screen TV is a little small but there is a good channel selection.  The free WiFi is around 7 Mbps download speed so it's not blazing fast but it's reliable and there shouldn't be any stuttering unless you're watching 4K Netflix.  There is a parking space in front of every door but it can get full on weekends.  The front desk has one of those big plexiglass walls so it feels like a high-security bank or something, and can make talking to the night clerk a frustrating experience.  The motel is very close to the on/off ramps to I-275 so you can quickly get to anywhere in the Detroit area, and the airport is only a few miles away.  Also a good place to stay for Michigan football games.  I didn't notice any shady people walking around at night, and probably because the owners "patrol" the area frequently.  I checked my records and I was paying $40/night here back in 2011 (weekly rate was only $190) and now I pay $80 for a room, so you gotta love inflation, right?

No frills but clean and quiet

The jetted tub was great and overall the room was pretty nice. Had a refrigerator and microwave and an electric fireplace that emitted some much needed heat, because the thermostat was set to very cold and could not be changed. Pillows were few and too small. TV in our room was oddly located and could not be viewed from the bed easily. Overall, a good place, no real issues. There was a $50 cash room deposit though, which had to be cold hard cash, which you will receive after the owners tour your room upon checkout. Guess they've had problems in the past?

A good, clean stay with jacuzzi tub

Our room was spotless and clean smelling.  Very roomy.  Sheets were very clean and bathroom recently renovated and perfect.  Nice flat panel tv, new fridge, fireplace (we did not use).  Very neat and clean well landscaped!  ALL the rooms clearly marked NO Smoking inside and out which was refreshing.  These people are the ultimate innkeepers

We stopped at 5 other non-franchise  hotels on this street that were disgusting before we found this gem.  VERY AFFORDABLE, and yes a $20 cash deposit which was different but insignificant.
