Howard Johnson by Wyndham Quincy/Boston

The best part of our stay was a fantastic, very helpful front desk employee. Pluses: the main area is spacious; the bathroom was small, but adequate; clean; the window was frosted, which I liked, since we could open the curtains and get natural light without sacrificing our privacy; the exterior is attractive; the air conditioner did not blow straight onto the bed. Minuses: conditioner & moisturizer were provided, but not shampoo; coffee in the room, but not tea; one hook but no towel racks in the bathroom (my ongoing war with the vast majority of lodging establishments}. The building sits sideways, so to speak, on its lot and the sign for it is small, so it was hard to spot from the road. At first, we had no microwave. One call to the front desk and voila! On a historical note, we were told that this property used to be called President's Inn. This is a very comfortable, attractive, and attracting inn for its price level.
