Ranch House Motel Marksville

It is obvious that these folks pay attention to their guests, none of the complaints seem to be at issue anymore.I am a real bargain shopper when it comes to rooms, I require clean and cheap. In the Marksville area this one meets my criterion. I didn't make reservations. Just showed up and ask to see rooms. Friendly desk help, obvious family ownership and participation., they were Katrina refugees, and excited to be in Marksville. Room looked nice we checked in for the night and stayed 4 nights and paying daily, just to be on the safe side. The fact we stayed 4 nights is a testament to our approval. The real pluses are: Friendly service, fast, easy access internet connection, desk and nice office chair, good lighting, adequate wall plugs. Nice furniture ,, clean well made beds, Plenty hot water, takes a bit of time to get hot. Ac and heat worked well. Nice interior and exterior paint. Area appears safe, semi protective compound. , excellent shuttle service to casino.. Rooms cleaned before 11:00 and have toiletries, etc. Has , fridge, MW. ironing board , coffee pot no coffee. Fresh coffee available in lobby , mornings only. The not so good stuff is: Insulation could be improved around doors and ac unit. Has dead bolt lock for night time security, can be bolted from the inside but not locked from outside. The normal lock of course is secure as a deterrent during normal in and out.
