Recently stayed at the Washington Irving Inn, which is located in Tannersville, New York, and really close to Kaaterskill Falls. The Inn has recently changed ownership, and the new hosts have some wonderful plans for a new restaurant and expanded bar, taking advantage of the nearby Hunter Mountain Brewery to offer craft beers. The Inn itself is a stunning 19th century home that was converted into an inn. The original woodwork on the first floor is something to behold. The downstairs library, with all of its original woodwork, is amazing place to enjoy an afternoon or late night cocktail. Our attic suite was cozy and extremely comfortable. Summer months offer a pool and a beautiful front porch to gaze at the gorgeous landscape. The new owners were extremely hospitable and helpful during our stay, recommending restaurants and sights to see. In addition to the future restaurant, the Inn will be undergoing some renovations during the winter months. Can’t wait to go back and view the updates along with the historic interior sometime next year!
