Don't ever stay here !!!!! Filthy dirty,the room smelled so bad when we complained the women said I go with spray I told her that wouldn't help.We promptly left,lost our money because I made non refundable reservations,didn't care it was to gross. Don't believe the pics online they are about thirty years old.

From check in with the motel manager, who was rude, to the towel covered smoke detector, I knew I was in the wrong motel. I was forced to stay here because there were no other rooms available at graduation. We paid $178 for the dirtiest, grossest, scummiest room of all time. Which is normally $40 and for that it's still not worth it. I travel for a living and I would rather have camped in a tent in the yard of the hotel instead. If it was 1979 the hotel scratch that motel, would have been fantastic. It’s almost like a ghost of a hotel that was nice 25 yers go. If you have nowhere else to stay, I would say sleep in your car. It would be cleaner and less disgusting than going to sleep in a dumpster. If you think I'm exaggerating I will look forward to your review after you sleep there for a night.

Do not stay here even if it’s the last room available

I travel for a living.  I have stayed in hotels all over the world, including poor third world countries.  This is the dirtiest, most unkept hotel I have ever stayed at.  The carpet had not been vacuumed in weeks.  There was fast food wrappers on the floor.  The carpets were disgusting, the walls and door were scratched.  There was food residue on the counter tops.  The bathroom mirror was smeared with dirt residue.  The shower curtain was 35% covered with severe Black Mold.  It smelled of cirgarette smoke.  The funrniture was in disaray...things were out of place...the mattress was six inches out of place on top of the box springs.  God only knows when the last time was that the bedspreads were cleaned.  It was a College Party hotel.  Students live in this place full time.  People were walking about the property with open drinks, making noise and partying.  This was the #1 most disgusting hotel experience.  It was all I could do to stay.  I considered walking out, but someone else had booked the hotel and paid for the accommodation ($99!!!) on line and it was raining heavily and there were tornado warning out, so I stayed.  I left super early in the morning because I was so disgusted with the filthiness of the room.  DO NOT STAY HERE!

Never Stay Here!!!

Decided to go to WIU homecoming with friends and this was the only hotel with vacancy. That should have been my first warning. Upon arriving it took us about 30 min to get the nerve to go inside. Hotel looks deserted and unkept from the outside. Was about 90 degrees in the lobby and 2 men were there who were friendly but not terribly honest. We booked at the rip off rate of $143 a night which was now advertised as $41. Never believe the warning only 3 rooms left! They will never fill this hotel in this condition. About 2/3 of the hotel doesn't even have bedding on the beds. My confirmation email gave me a total rate including taxes yet they tried to charge me $20 over the already outrageous price. 
We got to our room and it was smelly and outdated. Fortunately based on reviews we were prepared and brought our own sheets and towels. Everything we brought home smells moldy now too. I've had a cough since I've left there. The bathroom was actually clean even though outdated. The hotel should either be completely renovated or torn down. It appears they rent out rooms only when WIU has an event going on. If you come in at night, the sign isn't even lit up. So if you pass it up, keep right on going! There are reasons the outside web pictures are taken at night. I stayed here in the 70's when in college and nothing has been done to this place since then!

These rooms are filthy dirty, toilets don't work, it smells, no microwave, no refrigerator, no service, not allowed to sit in lobby you are loitering and they are very rude.  You will never get a bed made while staying here.  It is disgusting.
