Now called Ludington Beach House. This hotel has been completely redone and just reopened in June 2017. Hotel is just GREAT!  Loved it, loved it!  Great renovation right across from the town park. Cottage feel. Location cannot be beat. Can also walk to town and restaurants a short walk away. Also a short walk to marina. Owner is named Ben and he is super nice. Nice pool heated to 83 degrees. Super helpful staff. Would stay again in a heartbeat and was sad to leave!  

I booked this place from Airbnb because rates were good and good reviews from 
my recent stays. After booking  I saw reviews on TripAdvisor that were not so good so i was a little concerned but upon my arrival the owners were absolutely great and very accommodating. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated. The bathrooms are a bit small but my husband who is 6 feet tall didn’t have a problem at all. The showers have a tall ceiling and the water pressure was good. The beds are comfortable. This place is directly across from the city beach which is a plus. We only booked a queen size studio which was plenty of room. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel has a new name and management

We have been coming up to ludington for close to 40 years and have stayed almost every place there. Althought we have our favorites, we are always open to new establishments. So we thought we give Ludington Beach House a try. The main reason is the location. Where else could you find a closer view of the beach than from here. The second is reason is its been remodled and everything is new. So we stayed there twice in August for a couple of days each. It been updated from a 50s style motel to accommodated todays lifestyles with new fixtures and conveniences that people want. They've combined units to offer studio and 1 and 2 bedrooom suites and plusher 3 bedroom penthouses. The upside is you got two bathrooms with most combinations. Many have good views of Lake Michigan and the beach. The decor is modern and clean looking with some limited beach themes. The 1 bedroom we rented had laminated flooring which was convenient and easy to keep clean with trailing in sand. Our 2 bedroom had carpeting which was not as easy. Roomside parking and heated pool was a major plus. The downside was the bathrooms had no hooks for wet towels to dry or for clean clothes so you had to lay them on the floor. Also there wasn't some kind of shelving to put your toiletries. We weren't to keen on using the toilet seat. Each bedroom area had one luggage rack which forced other guest to use the floor. Maybe a simple low bench or table would be a solution. I know it sounds picky but could be a deciding factor on whether you get repeat customers. A good example of customer satisfaction is the establishment just east of you on the same side but the next block over. They do it right...everytime. So although you have a lot going for you, you're almost there.

Remodeled 50+year old motel done in 2017. Nice queen bed. Large flat screen TV. Nice frog/freezer, microwave & coffee pot. No comfortable chairs, or clothes closet. Small 1 person bathroom. Being handicapped, this room was uncomfortable. Office service is poor at best. Cleaning staff was ok when you could find them. staid in unit 37. Called a lakeside room, could not see beach or lake from the skateboard park across the street. No daily maid service either. They want you to put your garbage outside your room door in the morning.Location is good but no phone in room either. Avoid this place like the plague....

Ludinton Beach Inn, New name

This place is a rip-off! The owners have done no more than pay the taxes. Very outdated and old. Wi-fi does not work. Beds are old and smelly. Bath room filthy dirty and moldy. You would do yourself a service to STAY AWAY from this place.. Period!

Owners are providing nothing of value here and are walking out the back door with your money.

Smelly, Moldy, Outdated and Dirty

We had high expectations for this hotel because it's across the street from beautiful Lake Michigan. It didn't hit the mark on any level. Except Location. The odor hit us first, very strong smell of mold or musty damp dog and it lingered. We opened a window and left. It was tolerable when we retuned a few hours later. No exhaust fan in the bathroom, but a window you can open facing the parking lot, right by the sidewalk. This window is covered with a mini blind that was UNBELIEVEABLY DIRTY. No cups, I like a cup to rinse after brushing my teeth, no in room hair dryer, no lid/cover on the toilet. No shelf in the shower, and watch your step, there's about a 4-5 inch step down into the shower. there is a metal soap dish that would tip if you sat anything on it. Uncomfortable beds, flat pillows, one per person. The WIFI didn't work, only in the office. we were told we could sit outside the office door to use the internet with some privacy. Really. The room rate with a discount was $130.98. We couldn't leave fast enough. My worst hotel experience ever.

Do you want Mold, Mildew and Filth? Then Lakeside Inn is your ticket!

Horrible musty smelling small room I had a bigger bathroom in a 14 ft Motor home  had to park in street walk around building I was traveling with an 84 year old mother in law with a walker and the bathroom door is only 2 ft wide will never ever recommend or stay at this dive again let's not even get started on beds they speak for themselves
