Cabin Creekwood

We stayed in Cabin Rockwood which was close to the kid’s fort and pool! It has a master bedroom with walkout deck on the main floor along with the kitchen, dining area and living room. The upper loft has four twin beds, the front two beds and back two beds are separated by a curtain. 
It has all the amenities of home (linens, kitchen stocked with basic spices, paper towel, toilet paper, dish soap etc). Fairly close to groceries and many scenic hikes and caverns. We had a great family time! Wifi was great, and DVDs but no cell service so it was great to shut off media!! We had a lovely time!

Great place to stay located near Wintergreen resort and several other places to visit nearby. 
This setting is rural.  There are all the essential big box businesses 20 minutes down the road if you need them.  Recommend bringing everything including groceries with you because once you arrive you wont want to leave. Quiet, comfortable, and scenic place to retreat.

All inclusive cabin rental was even more than advertised.  For a weekly rental, this has everything you could ask for including dishwasher, washer dryer, central air,  two porches, plenty of space and extremely dog friendly.  No daily linen service but extra linens and other daily essentials were more than adequate for the week.  Kitchen was fully stocked and clean with everything but your own food.

We stayed in Mountainwood Cabin for two nights and had a very good experience.  Cabin is pretty rustic (part of the charm), but had everything we could have needed.  Enjoyed the grill and the fire pit.  Very relaxing!  Ms. Julia checked us in and made things very easy.  While we didn't have any specific requests, we had the feel they were ready to help us with anything we may have needed.  A very well done, family run business.  Easy/close access to Blue Ridge Parkway.

Very, Very nice cabin. A lot of amenities. Pool, grill, fire pit, beautiful view and deck out back. Fully equipped cabin. And just some nice added touches to make you feel welcomed. Little treats on the table, even a treat for the dog. Closet full of game, movies to watch for free. 1/4 mile from the lake which had everything to do. The only downfall was a old house smell. But not bad. We would definitely go again.

This place is very relaxing just off the blue ridge parkway. Very quiet with a nice creek running just behind it. 
There is some nice room to sit outside if you want to and also a opportunity to have a bbq if you want.
The host was also super after we had already left, she made an very nice effort to send us some books to belgium  we had read in the house. Big thx

Cabin Creekwood is a wonderful hidden gem in Virginia mountain area!

Cozy near the creek

We stayed at Creekwood Cabin.  But never again.
1.  The fire ring was way to far away from the house.
2. The fire ring area was surrounded by debris & the garbage pail overflowed with garbage.
3.  The hot tub on the patio wasn’t clean & at night the bats were flying overhead
& dropping poop into the hot tub.
4.  The patio area was covered in bat poop.

RENTERS BEWARE

Video/pictures are carefully presented to not depict what you will be truly getting.  If you are looking for a private cabin in the woods with easy access to a creek right outside the back door, THIS IS  NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU.  

-  The cabin is located on a well-traveled road, not off the beaten path via the gravel drive depicted.
-  There are two additional homes right next door - a big rating of 0 for privacy.
-  The inside is extremely small (which was ok), but the photos do not accurately depict what is there.  The full size washer/dryer (in the kitchen) is overkill in this little space , no cute table & chairs; instead an ugly bar thing.  The furnishings are more than a little worn; look like they came from a bad second-hand store.
-  Bath is ok; no shower.
-  Upstairs is a one room loft. The video depicts 2 full size beds, the written description states 3.  Which is it?  Three beds and dressers, which makes for very little space to even move around.  I can't imagine 6 adults sleeping up there.   
-  If you are disabled or elderly, you will not be able to enjoy the creek in the back as one must navigate a steep vertical slope down/up.  And, I mean steep!
-  While the cabin is set up to sleep a hand full of people, the size is truly for no more than 2 - even three would be pushing it.  
-  As we didn't stay, I can't really comment on the kitchen (it "appeared" adequate) or the condition/comfort of the beds.

We wanted to get away from it all, not be sharing our time with the neighbors next door and not be able to enjoy the creek and surrounding woods.  Suffice it to say, people do not pack up with 2 large dogs, fill up with gas (which is not cheap these days), and travel for several hours only to turn around and leave.  While we were offered to try another cabin, we declined in that we really didn't want to deal with folks who had been so deceptive from the get go and continued to place the blame on us since we didn't investigate the property on Google Maps.  Really!!!  We were offered a 50% refund, of which we only received a portion.  We should have been refunded 100% for the pet fee charge and the arm load of fire wood we purchased, plus an error in their math when initially charging us.  As far as I'm concerned, we should have been refunded for every penny.
