Very clean, just dated. Perfect place as a stop on an outdoor trip.

easy to find, was able to park right in front of our room too. I let staff know beforehand we would be arriving late. comfortable for a nights sleep and getting off the road! just what we needed.

Nice place for overnight stay with family.

I liked that it’s had a table larger enough for four to play cards.

Stayed overnight on way to mammoth.  Great option for a quick stay

This is a single-story building, yet we constantly heard footsteps running back and forth at night and in the morning, as if there were an upstairs unit. We couldn’t determine where the noise was coming from, which was quite disruptive.On the plus side, the hotel is conveniently located right off Highway 395, with a gas station at the entrance and restaurants just a 5-minute walk away.

Great 3 nights stay for the price, as a sensitive noise person recommend to get earplugs for the night.

Rooms were pretty small!  Parking was tight

This hotel is located in the center of town, so it is convenient for traveling north, south, east and west. It is also possible to go to Death Valley for a day trip, although it is a little far away.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mount Whitney Motel. This family-run property exceeded our expectations with its well-kept and clean rooms. The location is perfect, close to numerous restaurants and shops, making it convenient for exploring the area.The motel offers ample parking space, which was a big plus for us. The room was equipped with a microwave and fridge, which came in handy during our stay. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and hassle-free.What really stood out was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to assist us with a few special requests, making us feel truly welcomed.The only minor issue was a slightly ripped chair in the room, but it was such a non-issue that it didn’t bother us at all.Overall, Mount Whitney Motel provides a great value-for-money experience with its cleanliness, location, and outstanding hospitality. Highly recommended!

Very convenient to get to the Mt Whitney portal and plenty of food places around.  The staff appear to be a family that live on the property so they’re very aware of security issues.   I’d definitely stay there again and cheaper than other places.  I’d only recommend taking a travel soap bar since they only give out those tiny ones and have not converted to liquid dispensers like some other motels/hotels.

Pleasantly surprised. Could it used a deep clean? Yes, but overall I was happy with my choice. Clean, stain free towels and sheets, functioning AC and refrigerator (didn't use microwave) and outstanding water pressure in the shower. I think another guests AC compressor was struggling and that did wake me, but I would stay again.

This property was super clean and very well maintained.  Check-in was easy and the desk clerk was friendly and pleasant. Room had a fridge and micro wave, and the bed was comfortable. LIke all the hotels/motels in Lone Pine (except for one) it doesn't allow dogs.  This is stronger because it's such a hiking/backpacking/camping area, which usually means lots of dogs.  Our dog slept in our car for the night which worked out okay, but still, kind of crazy.

The Mount Whitney motel is nothing fancy yet for exploring Lone Oine, Alabama Hills, Whitney Portal area perfect location.  The room was clean, older furnishings, large bathroom, fridge, coffe maker, microwave.  The area is quiet.  Walking distance to various food establishments.   Two taco trucks park across the street.

Perfect location

We were searching for a motel at night, after watching the stars in Death Valley. The road there was quite a hassle in the dark, but we made it. The room looked like it was recently renovated and the bed was comfy. There were no funny smells or whatsoever. We had a good night sleep and when waking up an other surprise came up suddenly. The views are amazing. We really liked the little town!
