River Bluff Cabins

River Bluff is wonderful!    One of the best parts of the Frio River.
Heather is great to work with and this place has everything you need to have
a relaxing and fun time.

We were there during the flood of the Frio and I never felt safer.  We got regular updates and messages the entire time.  This is really a small slice of heaven.  I mean something about it is completely different from every other site on the Frio.  It feels like you are secluded from the world when you are on the water or just walking around.  But the cabins feel like you are in a really nice hotel.  It truly is the best of both worlds.

The owners and staff treat you like family. They have wonderful accommodations, beautiful scenery,  a playground and swimming pool/splash pad for kids, and a private entry to the most beautiful part if the Frio!

I wouldn’t stay anywhere else! The nicest people and the best spot on the river. Everything you need is there. The cabins are perfect.

Heather was amazing, had everything ready and answered all of our questions about the area.  The cabin was prefect size and had almost everything we needed. 
The pool was great add on, after 3 days on the river it was nice to kick back at.

All ready made reservations for next year.

A group of 12 of us came in from Odessa to ride the nearby Twisted Sisters loop.

I chose tho book with River Bluff due to their fair pricing, convenient location, and the offer to pick up our groceries. It was a nice touch! Eventho we did not take them up on that offer.

We were very pleased with the cabins, amenities, and ambiance.

We stayed in Cabins 2, 3, and 4, which were right on the rivers' bluff. And a short walk from access to the river and kayaks.

Each cabin had most of the cooking utensils we needed, along with ample plates, cups, and silverware.

We enjoyed the use of the grills and fire pits.

The office has some items you may have forgotten, fishing poles, marshmallow skewers, goggles, and glasses. 

Many times this weekend, I was complemented on my choice of lodging.

We will definitely be returning.........

This place is the best!  We have been coming here for years.  The cabins are great, the river access is great, staff is wonderful to work with!  If you don't book here you are missing out.  Thanks for a great time as always River Bluff Cabins, you guys are top notch!

This is our 15th year going to River Bluff Cabins.  It is a family and friend vacation we look forward to year after year.  Leslie and Doug make the visit feel like coming home to family.  My children, and now grandson, look forward to this vacation every year.  I would recommend this destination to anyone looking for a beautiful place to make memories!

We stayed at River Bluff Cabins for a 3-day wedding event. The staff is wonderful and will help you with anything needed. We were a family of two adults and 3 older teenagers, so we rented the 3-bedroom cabin right on the river. It was beautiful and shady. The cabins look rustic/older on the outside but are well built inside. They are well insulated, and you cannot hear any noise from the outside. The cabin had new flooring, countertops and furniture. The beds were comfortable, and my husband and I both have bad back pain. The air conditioner was cold and worked well. They are well stocked with everything you need. Dishes, cooking utensils, pots, toilet paper, towels, shampoo, condition and soaps. Things to bring is mosquito spay.  Unfortunately, due to the location, you will encounter Texas sized mosquitoes' day and night. The facilities offer a small inground pool and a children splash pad, but all of our teenagers preferred to stay at the river.  
The facility offered free tubes and kayaks to the renters to enjoy the river. The river is mostly shaded by large trees but remember to bring sunscreen just in case.  It is in a very remote area in which there are not any large stores close by.  I highly recommend, shopping in Hondo or Uvalde before heading to the resort to get the best prices on items.  We did go into Leaky one day to eat lunch and there are a few restaurants to choose from, but all are extremely busy during peak hours.  Overall, we enjoyed our stay. I was peaceful, relaxing and restful.  

Stayed in the hideaway which is a cute 1bed/1bath at the end of the road tucked away from the rest of the campground. It was perfect for the 4 night we were there. Easy to walk to the office or the river. Had everything we needed.

Great place to stay!

A wonderful place to make memories!

Relaxing 3 day trip

My husband and I stayed in the Hideaway Cabin. As advertised it is at the end of the road isolated from the other cabins. The cabin is the perfect size for 2 people. It has a very large covered deck, a nice fire pit and a grill. The cabin was clean and had a comfortable king size bed. Check in was easy and the host was very friendly. It is a short walk down to the beautiful Frio River for floating and cooling off. I highly recommend staying here!

Perfectly peaceful!

We had at least 50 people at a family reunion this past weekend and this is a great spot! We had some families in the big cabins and others in the smaller two bedrooms (my family). Everything was great and the front desk was super nice and helpful. The Frio River was BEAUTIFUL and the Cypress Trees are amazing!

Great location for a Family Reunion

I booked a stay right before the holiday weekend.  I called, they were awesome on the phone making sure they accommodated my needs.   (large truck, trailer & motorcycles) .    Staff was incredible, the rooms were immaculate and well laid out for myself & family members.   The beds were extremely comfortable, the pool & access to the river were perfect.   Quiet hours mean quiet.   Every aspect of my stay was beyond expectation and I travel every other week.   Don't even bother looking elsewhere, book your stay here and enjoy your vacation or weekend getaway!   Great location for the Twisted Sisters ride.

LOVE, LOVE this place!!

Just the two of us.... Stayed at the Hideaway cabin, which is on the back fence of the property. Wonderful, comfortable, awesome deck, and right next to a ravine. We grilled, we built a fire, we gazed at the stars, and shared time by the river of course. Water is as advertised, FRIO! Advice: read the instructions that you print out with your reservation. Garner and Lost Maples State Parks are really close. Leakey is really close. Be sure to buy a BBG Pineapple Carrot cake at the grocery store, have some beers at the Leakey Inn, eat at Mamá Choles, lunch buffet at the Cafe, and well, just relax. 

Wonderful stay!

Our first trip to the Frio River region we booked a cabin for the close location to Lost Maples. We were so pleasantly surprised to find our accommodations roomy, comfortable, and perfect for a weekend of hiking and photography. Heather was amazing amazing guide and the scenery was worth the wait. We WILL  definitely be back.

GREAT stay!!

This year is the 11th annual trip to River Bluff.  Each year it only gets better.  Highly recommend for family and friends.  The sparkling clarity and flow of the Frio River is consistent and due to a low water crossing  a 1/4 mile away the water depth is always right for floating, tubing, and kayaking.
