The Boatyard Inn is always the best place to stay. We love the suites right on the edge of the waves. We love the excellent customer service and warm and welcoming management. We love to walk the few steps to the Marina and to watch the harbor seals.  And charming Langley is just steps away with great dining options and fun shops.

Outstanding! Perfect location and set up for boating in. Amenities were so thoughtful and exactly what needed! Delicious coffee and snacks. Comfy spacious bed, great layout for a studio. Highly recommend!

It was a great getaway that was very comfortable. Everything you would need was included - well stocked kitchen, comfy bed and great pillows, and even special touches like flowers on the table and snacks. Langley is a cute town and there's lots of history about the Wharf, which was very interesting. The staff was very helpful...every time I had a question, they responded right away - with kindness and warmth. Great place to stay - I'd go again!

The Boatyard Inn is a spectacular and romantic, gorgeous place to stay on the waterfront in Langley, Whidbey Island.  It is my second time there and it may be the most romantic getaway place I have ever experienced.

We really enjoy the feeling of being right on the water, Mynda ( the Innkeeper) is wonderful to deal with. 
Walking distance, if you like, to all the 
great shops and places to eat, the unit is well equipped to eat in if you like, love the Robes and the Towel Warmer.
Fireplace is also super cozy…
It really is a place to kick back, relax, read, watch and listen to the shore birds and just enjoy some down time…

Great on the water place and great location within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. This was our first time on Whidbey Island and we highly recommend the Boatyard Inn!

The gorgeous water setting, the rustic elegance of the rooms and the perfect location add up to a truly special experience. You can easily walk anywhere in Langley from the Inn.  It’s the perfect escape. We plan to return again for a longer stay next year.

We feel obligated to write this review because we just had such a fabulous time at the Boat Yard, yet realize it is probably not in our best interest. We love this part of Whidbey Island and usually come several times a year. Now  we have discovered this spot and  plan to always stay here! It is very comfortable, well designed, easy in and out and so peaceful. The view is beautiful in all types of weather.......sun and rain and I'm certain it would be gorgeous in the snow. It is so perfectly located......close to the main streets of Langley, with shops and restaurants, including our favorite, Prima
Bistro. A very walkable area. The staff was very pleasant and helpful when making the reservation. So, you won't be disappointed........but please leave some days for us!


We often do a couples trip between Christmas and New Years. We have also stayed at the Boatyard other times. The rooms we have stayed in previous to this trip were all clean, well-appointed and with a killer view. This time because of maintenance being done on the room we had originally booked, we were upgraded at no charge to the Marina Suite. OMG!. I though I had gone to heaven. The suite is 700 square feet with a bathroom as big as the office I work in with both walk in shower and soaking tub. The decor is upscale zen- very much to my liking. The little balcony sits directly over the beach. Loved listening to the gentle waves. Would go back in a heart beat!

We stayed in Studio #3.  It was very cozy and the staff were extremely kind and accommodating.  The entire island experienced a major storm which cut power to everyone on Whidbey.  The InnKeeper made sure to check on us often and even gave us a free bottle of wine.

We look forward to going back and staying again when we can enjoy everything with the power on.

Yep, stay here … for sure!

The location is spectacular and the room is quite nice. The bed is comfortable. They put out a bowl of snacks which were welcome.  The bedding was frayed and torn. There isn't any designated space for your stuff. There isn't anyone around to help or answer questions and I don't want to disturb someone at home for little stuff. There is no breakfast and I think that's unfortunate considering the price. A very nice stay.

High end , no contact room

Rented two units - unit 5 which was a first floor unit directly on the sound and unit 10 which was a second floor unit. Room 5 was excellent. Great views. Master bed on main level, wonderful amenities, well appointed kitchen and excellent temperature. Wonderful breeze. Unit 10 was good. Kitchen was well appointed for someone who likes to cook. Plenty of space for larger families. Lovely linens.  Balcony is facing parking lot and back of entire unit so no airflow, and no view. Additionally, if you want to keep the blinds open for light, everyone walking through the parking lot can (and does) look up into the windows as they are walking towards Langley. The upstairs where the master bed is, was warm, had no view or airflow. Costco fan/portable cool air units are provided. Decor is lovely and both units are immaculate. Would stay again in front units facing the water.

I can't think of a better place to stay in Langley!  Our room/studio (#11) was a perfect home away from home!  It was beautiful and had everything we could possibly need!
The view is incredible!!!  You are right on the water and we witnessed an amazing sunrise!!  
It is a bit deceiving when you drive up but everything changed when we entered our spacious room!!
I cannot recommend Boatyard Inn enough!!

All about the view!  And the rooms!

I have to say that this was one of our loveliest trips ever, and our stay at the boatyard Inn greatly enhanced that. Even though we had an upstairs neighbor we felt very private, it was waterfront with birds outside our window.  Our room had everything we needed including a freestanding tub with views of the water. It was really incredible and we enjoyed our visit so much from the moment we arrived and were offered a glass of wine checking in.
