I arrived in the middle of a snowstorm. My dog and I had booked a cabin, and it was just what we expected, only BETTER! I read the reviews to my little traveling companion, and she was insistent that we go ahead and visit the Berkshires in ski weather. We arrived to an already warmed cabin. No smells, clean carpet, and fully functional kitchen--with coffee ready for us to brew! There was not a place for me to dine inside at a table, but we had fun imagining families enjoying the picnic tables in the courtyard during warmer weather. We had a nice little area behind the cabin for my companion's necessities, and she was grateful for the shelter and privacy. No illusions--the cabin is simply and tastefully furnished, and worn about the edges a bit, but totally comforting in an ordinary way. We trekked through the snow, but we look forward to the days we'll be heading for the beach at the lake in the Berkshires from Lanesboro Country Inn.
