Jane is a wonderful host. The morning breakfast was over the top. Charming older home.

Super little place, unfortunately owner says she's retiring soon so get there while you can!

The person who owned the house was friendly and helpful.We loved the breakfast and the accomodations. There were several "extras" that were unexpected: a charging station for electronics, a small fan in the bedroom, chocolate bread and free drinks, lots of DVDS, etc. It was a great stay!

I’ve been camping and hiking for the past 10  days so the stay at this cute bed-and-breakfast was extra nice. Comfy bed and room and the private bathroom was great. The host, Jane, was amazing… so friendly, welcoming, and great conversation in the morning over breakfast. I would highly recommend staying at this place if ever in Lamar, CO.

Great One-Night Stay

What a quaint, cute & historic stay! This 115-year-old home has been beautifully maintained and updated, and the Victorian decor was charming, as was the comfortable front porch and side yard. Our little dog was cordially accommodated, as well. Jane prepared a nice customized breakfast for us at the time of our choosing. Great B&B stay with a charming host!

Lovely & Historic Home B&B!

It was obviously an older home but brought up-to-date and extremely well-kept, lovely and quaint.  The owner was absolutely fantastic. She cooked us made-to-order frittatas.  She also had a fresh fruit plate for all of us, which was absolutely wonderful. She is such a delightful person!  She also had made a homemade bread was waiting in our room (under cellophane) with a fork ready to eat and awesome.

We were traveling back from Texas and Lamar was a good stopping point for us.  We found the Nest Bed & Breakfast online while driving.  We booked it and Jane was awesome:  she called to check on our check in time, she met us when we got there, she had everything set up and some nice treats for us, asked what we wanted for breakfast and was genuinely awesome.  We look forward to our next drive to Texas because we will stay with her again.  What a great place.

Home on the Way Home

The experience was like "coming home". The home decor is quaint and comfortable. The bathroom could be challenging for low mobility visitors. The room had loads if toys for young families, a nice movie selection, refrigerator with sodas and water and a nice piece of chocolate cake awaiting us. We would certainly love to return.

Jane is truly the hostess with the mostest! After staying 2 nights in the Garden Room, we felt like we'd been adopted!  She's ready to swap interesting travel stories with guests and is not only is a fab breakfast cook (told her we'd need to rejoin Weight Watchers if stayed longer), but also leaves a sweet surprise treat welcoming guests back each evening.  She decorates every possible nook in her entire house, making it an adventure to spy a new bird, birdhouse or seasonal themed trinket.  And we loved our HHs on her comfy porch.  We'll definitely stay again next time we're anywhere near the area.

Wow!  I cannot say enough about how wonderful this property is and how wonderful Jane is.  She is the perfect host!  This was our first time in a Bed and Breakfast and we will always choose this property over a hotel.  The home is beautiful and so comfortable.  Breakfast was also out of this world.  Wish I could give it 10 stars!  We have already booked it for next year to make sure we can stay at this beautiful home.  See you next year, Jane.

Beautiful home and a wonderful host. Quaint B&B has a wonderful atmosphere. Very clean and cozy with a snack waiting when we checked in. Jane is very knowledgeable of the area and gave us quite few tips as we were going to the mountains. The made to order breakfast was delicious. The bathroom with the claw foot tub was stunning. If I’m ever in the area again, this is the only place that I would stay!

Must stay at this quaint Bed and Breakfast!

What a beautiful home to rest after a long day of travel. We stayed in the Garden Room and the queen size bed was very comfortable. Jane was a wonderful hostess and we enjoyed our visit with her and the other family that was staying there as well. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Walking into this home felt like walking into my parents home, very welcoming and very clean. If we pass through this way again, we will certainly stay here again. Thank you, Jane!

Lovely stay

The home is a 1900-ish home that has been very meticulously restored to its period charm, upgraded with modern amenities and furnished with vintage pieces.  It is exactly as depicted in the pics, very cozy, very comfortable bed.  Your host Jane is very accommodating during registration, reached out to see if I had any food preferences or allergies and gave me multiple choices for breakfast.  Bottomline when traveling through the area I will definitely stay with 3rd St Nest B&B again.
