Nice family owed motel. Quiet, safe, parked car right outside the door.

Basic motel room, not fancy, but very clean and in great condition. Front desk service (Kai) super friendly and efficient! Walls a bit thin, so adjacent noise noticable, but over all a pleasant stay. Restaurant in town, The Ballering, although pricey, has an excellent perch fish fry, and the baked Brie with cherry compote appetizer is one not to miss!

Ice machine was a distance outside. My room had no ice container.Room quiet.

This was such a wonderful place to stay. We arrived and checked in at the gift shop, with the owner who was a very pleasant person. Our room was very clean, the cleanest I’ve probably ever seen,  and we are at hotels every other weekend for softball tournaments. The climate control in the room worked perfectly for such a warm weekend (high 80’s and high humidity). The beds were very cozy in the quaint little room. There was a patio area where a group of us cooked out at with a gas grill someone has brought. Throughout the weekend staff interaction was very pleasant. There is a custard shop next door that also serves food, which made this an even better experience. The downtown area/businesses were very close to this hotel as well, unfortunately we were unable to experience anything in that area.

This was a wonderful hotel. The staff were great, the room was clean and cozy. What a great stay!

Clean Hotel with Great Staff & Location

I’m so glad we found this place.  Absolutely spotless, nice quality furniture and super comfortable beds.  We came to the area to watch a Packer Game in Green Bay and the owner even told us about a bus that they have to take you to Lambeau and back.  All of that and also in a nice little town with a beautiful lakefront.  Highly recommend!!!

Management of Coho Motel (as of mid-August 2022) was very attentive to my particular booking needs, and the late hour I would be arriving in the area. The hotel grounds were quite safe and quiet, and the rooms were comfortable.Overall, I could presently recommend this facility for anyone who wishes to explore the Kewaunee area, or for anyone who wants a staging point for a tourism excursion out to either Green Bay or Door County.

Great place to stay for a Packer game. The room was simple but very spacious and clean, the staff was really friendly and rate was very reasonable. Kewaunee is on Lake Michigan and cute shops and nice beach and pier. Drive from the evening Packer game was easy and not as much traffic as other directions we have gone leaving games. Great frozen custard next door! We would definitely stay again if we come to another game.

We were contacted the night before we arrive to see if we would "upgrade" at the cost of another guest that wanted to come in a night early and wanted "our room". We agreed. We were told it was on the second floor which we also agreed to. However, we do not feel it was an upgrade at all! We still paid what we were charged for our room originally booked. Don't get us wrong, the room was nice and clean. From where our room was located (in the back of the motel) and our parking in front of the motel was not explained to us until we arrived and figured it out.We feel we were very mislead and the other customer came out with the "upgrade". King size bed, ground floor and parking right out their door.

Disappointed

Coho is reasonably priced, clean, and comfortable. Kind of fun to stay at an old-school motel as opposed to the chain hotels we've become accustomed to. Only complaint is that the motel rooms face a busy road so you're not getting any great view. Too bad since Kewaunee if right on Lake Michigan! I would stay here again based on the price & cleanliness.

Affordable clean motel

This was the best find for an impromptu getaway weekend! The price was very reasonable and the value was fantastic! We had a great little patio with a great view and the whole area was absolutely charming! I will pick this place anytime we come to Door County area. Everything in Door County was an easy drive and we enjoyed just driving around the area.

Fantastic find in Door County!

We decided to visit Door County last minute and all the lodgings closer to the upper peninsula were fully booked. So, we had to find something further away and were able to book this motel. Needless to say, we were pleasantly surprised. The room was very spacious and clean. The facilities were well-kept and the owner was super friendly. The only complaint is if you are on the 1st floor, and there are people above you, you might hear a lot of footsteps and noise. This could be an issue if you are trying to sleep and the people above are not.

Good alternative if everything else is booked!

I am not a fan of independent owned motels usually, but this motel was very nice, well appointed, clean and a large room which included a frig and sofa. Staff was very friendly and accommodating about check ins and key drops. The only down side was second floor tenants were noisy late night and again in the morning, like living in a two story apartment building. But over all very nice stay.
