My special needs son and I stayed two nights at Halcyon Heights at the end of our epic Alaskan adventure for his 18th birthday. We had been staying at a different local hotel that was clean, but not quiet at all. Neither of us had gotten much sleep in a week and were worn out from all of the adventuring we were having. Arriving at Halcyon Heights was like finding home away from home. It was so peaceful and just lovely. The view of Kachemak Bay was beautiful; I absolutely loved my quiet mornings on the veranda with a hot cup of coffee and my book, snuggled up in a blanket, enjoying rest, relaxation, and the view. Stephen and Juxia were very kind hosts, welcoming and informative about different places to see in Homer and interesting hiking spots. Juxia made breakfasts that were a delicious and nutritious way to start the day. I recommend Halcyon Heights for anyone staying in Homer. If we ever get back to Alaska, we will stay there again!

Lovely, Quiet, & Restful

They were so sweet and Jinx made us breakfast it was refreshing  and vegetarian style

A lovely inn with great view and kind staffs. Delicious breakfast! Everything is perfect! We had a really good time here.

We had 5 adults traveling together and were able to get 2 bedrooms in this lovely house.  There was a kitchen in between the 2 rooms that allowed us to cook salmon that we caught on a fishing trip.  The hosts were very accommodating and served us a wonderful breakfast during our stay.  Because of COVID concerns, the meal was delivered to our room.  On check in we were provided with very good information about the area.  The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the view of Homer Spit and Kachemak Bay was amazing!

How would you feel staying at a relative's place in a touristy place ? Your relatives would ensure you have a comfortable stay, suggest good sightseeing options, make recommendations for tours, keep your dietary restrictions in mind and provide you options for breakfast, right ? Well, Juxia and Steven did all that for us. They are such affable hosts, warm and welcoming. They nudge you in the right direction to make good decisions for your trip. For instance, when our bear watching trip to Lake Clark got cancelled, we reached out to Juxia for advice. This was even before we reached Homer and we hadn't checked into the B&B until then. But still, she spoke to us over phone for a long time, explaining us the options we had and highly recommended a lesser-known Bear Watching Tour. 
And Boy, was she right ! 
We reached Homer, went on the tour and had a blast. It was a pretty unique, Bear Watching Safari Tour and it became a highlight of our trip. All thanks to Juxia.
She also kept in mind our vegetarian diet and made us delicious breakfasts, we were highly impressed by her cooking skills and her attention to detail in plating the meal.
We even spotted a Moose and her calf from our bedroom..yayy :)
Combine all this with gorgeous glacier views, being surrounded by the mountains of Kachemak Bay and you have got a winner !

Our Precious Stay !

We enjoyed the warm hospitality of Stephen and Juxia for three days. We appreciated their guidance of things to do and places to eat-it made all the difference in our experience.  
Juxia graciously responded to my allergies and made me as comfortable as possible, while Stephen discouraged us from making poor hiking choices. His recommendation resulted in a spectacular day!
The view from their breakfast room is breathtaking and their love of Alaska is contagious.

Breathtaking location, Helpful, Truly Caring

The owners were very friendly and welcoming and the location of the place is great; it has a gorgeous view of the bay on a clear day. And the breakfast was delicious and put together with so much care. We’ll definitely stay here again next time!

My family had planned a spur-of-the-moment weekend trip to homer, only to have it nearly fall through due to AIRBNB. We tried to book a place but the app was having problems and no tech support could contact us to fix it.  Halcyon Heights to the rescue!  Minutes before we had to make a decision to cancel the trip, I found the Halcyon Heights webpage, talked with them (it was a relief to talk to a person after all that) and made a reservation in minutes!  The were very kind and helpful, and the place was beautiful!  They were also eager to share whatever yummy thing they were making in their bakery as well! P:  Our weekend was spectacular!  Thank you!

Saved our weekend!

We had a five day stay and experience that far exceeded our expectations.We arrived around midnight, were upgraded to the honeymoon suite, and treated to a delicious rhubarb pie even at that late hour. From our bedroom window and the deck outside our room  we could see a glacier and the Homer spit. Juxia and Kamilla fixed fabulous breakfasts of fruit, pastry, eggs and potatoes. They set up reservations for a halibut fishing trip and prepared a bag of breakfast food and snacks sufficient for the trip. They have a wealth of information about the area and made suggestions for activities. Above all, it was their hospitality and their attentiveness that made it most memorable. It is a great place, which we highly recommend.

Superb Experience

Exceptional hospitality, amazing food, stunning scenery - a true Alaskan gem! It brought our experiences with B&B to a whole new level. So incredibly grateful to Juxia and her wonderful team who ensured that the facilities were clean and the service was 5-star. They were also able to help us with booking for local excursions and made excellent recommendations for local eateries and attractions. We had such a memorable visit and will only ever stay here when visiting Homer in the future.
