Spent a weekend at the Sonesta Simply Suites in Jersey City. Fabulous stay. Hotel was very clean and it is a great location for activities in both Manhattan northern New Jersey. PATH Train station is a short walk from the hotel and if you do not want to walk you can ride the New Jersey Light Rail one stop to Exchange Place as the Harborside light rail station abuts the hotel. As for commentary about noise from the light rail we barely heard a thing. We did use a sound soother app for sleeping, but whether awake or asleep we barely noticed anything with regards to the light rail. One last thing. Most patrons who stay at this hotel are staying there in regard to activities in New York City. However, a word has to be said about the nightlife in Jersey City. A multitude of great restaurants and bars in walking distance of the hotel. So, if one prefers to eschew New York City for a night or so you will not go hungry.
