Tazewell Motel

We were only going to stay one night but stayed for 3 instead. I had a smoking room which was fantastic for a smoker. Very friendly Staff. It was close to all we wanted to do. Park right in front of the room door. It was an older motel but very well kept up. i would stay there again in a heartbeat.

it was amazing the rooms were amazing it's just full of joy. It was beautiful service and the pool was amazing it wasn't crowded and was extremely clean there was nothing in sight in my room. Just be prepared for amazingness

It was a good room and the staff was really nice.I recommend this motel because there is nice and affordable rates. There rooms are getting better and better.I hope this hotel will become popular one day.

1st time evr here was on 12/15/2018 came up with some friends for the night.. really loved our stay here it was clean and very quite. rooms were nice also nothing fancy but nice. went to office the next a,m, to get coffee and the lady that was there was very nice and helpful. we chatted for a few mins really polite people around here. If we ever go back this is where I wanna stay.

Excellent place to stay and visit and great value for your dollar.

Old roadside motel.  Out for a week on the motorcycle and this is a good stop for the Back of the Dragon.  Room was clean, staff was helpful and courteous.  To say the room was dated is an understatement but the kitsch is part of the charm.  No place to walk to to eat.  No frills at all, not even an icemaker.  Final word is I've paid more to camp!  It is what it is, and where I needed it to be.

What did you expect for $50?

I spent one night in this motel, the rooms are dated, however the one we stayed in was clean. The towels were worn out and stained. We arrived at 8, my kids wanted to swim, however I was told the pool closed at 6pm. I was told they could swim the next day, even if I check out of the room. $3 for each of them until 1:30, then it closes. However if I wanted to let them swim when it opened back up at 2:30, I could pay another $3 for each one of them and they could swim again. They called me at 11 and said I was paying a late fee if I didn’t get out, and two of them came,  opened door and glared at us as if I was there enemy. For the price, $60, I’m not sure if it worth the low price. We have stayed in 17 other hotels this summer and this was a first for me. This is just not how it’s done in America. I feel if you can come to this country and make a tax free living, the least you can do is learn respect and the unwritten rules on how to treat people, especially when we hand our hard earned money over to you. If you want to treat people the way it’s done in your country, then go back there.

This independently owned motel is far below basis standards most motel chains have.
Booked through Booking.com for 1 night for $55. Phoney ratings of 7+. 
I stayed in room 17.  Heavy smell of air freshener which covered smell of urine..
Furniture, dated,from 1970 s.  towels threadbare worn., bathroom window fixed with duct tape.

Over priced, lodging choices few check out VBRO or other. Better than sleeping in your car if temp 30 below
but price should be $30.
