New management has done a great job improving the hotel, really enjoyed our stay. The staff has been very friendly and helpful. The rooms have been completely updated, and renovated, and they still have the best rates!!

I am now living at the Diamond Inn and I don't have any problems. They have very strict rules but that is only for our safety. I lived here once before when it was owned by different owners and there is a very big difference.They are doing a good job of cleaning this area up from the way the old owners had it. It takes time. Kudos to the new owners.

I will never stay here again place is filthy nasty filled with bed bugs spiders and rude managers and Associates they have drugs people here they have prostitutes still here and the place is just still nasty they accuse me of bringing bedbugs when I'm clean move from a clean apartment and to a big bug infested place eat up a lot of my dog a service dog and she's alive now they get her treated they refused to give me any money back for the stay so now I got to stay here the whole month they refused to do anything they've is taking them forever to do one simple thing it's just not a good place to stay I would not recommend anybody to stay here that's not a very safe place I've been broken into twice and there's been a girl here that's been raped 4 times and poisoned so this is not a very safe place even though their security on staff that you never seen so just think twice before you stay here.

Worst place I've ever stayed disgusting rooms roaches bed bugs no bathroom door for few weeks I was there nothing got fixed the owners wife was very rude as well as the desk clerk the desk lady took my payment gave me receipt and then said she didn't get my payment I showed owner proof I paid but they still said didn't get payment it has been living nightmare with this place

Worst place to stay

This is by far the absolute WORST place I have ever stayed!! I was driving North alone and started hitting rush hour traffic in Jacksonville so I jumped off the exit and this was the only place I saw. I called to see if they had a room and would except a cat. Yes they did and yes they would. I got there and told them I am handicapped and asked for a first floor but they had only one room available on the second floor. They have no elevators. After driving around to the side of the building I would be staying and paying somebody $3 to carry my heavy suitcase up while I carried my 18 lb cat, we get to the room and they said there was a leak in the sink and I had to go to the third floor on the original side of the building. After trekking all my stuff up there I was a hot, sore, sweaty mess who had to pee and take a shower. I asked for sheets, pillows, towels and toilet paper as there were none of these items in the room!!! I walked back down to the office requested the items and was told they were in the wash, it would be awhile. I went to my vehicle and got some tissues so I could tinkle. After calling again a teenaged boy brought a fitted sheet, blanket and a roll of TP. I asked about pillows and pillow cases. He said he didn't work there that his mom did and he was just helping out. He told me they had no pillows or cases because they get stolen!!! After he left I realized he did not bring any towels. I called the office again from my cell phone because there are no phones in the rooms. They said the towels were still drying that they couldn't dry towels and other linens together. After awhile I called again asking about towels, I was asked to hold while they checked, the girl came back and said the manager was on the way up with them now. After waiting another 15 minutes I remembered that I had pillows in my vehicle and was hoping my towels were easily accessible. I walked back down, found my items and walked back up the 3 flights of stairs. Nobody brought towels at any point. I took a shower and there was wonderful water pressure. That's the only good thing I can say about this place. So the next morning as I go to check out I asked for help carrying items down as I was assured there would be guys there. Well nobody at 9:30 in the morning.Fortunately I ran into 2 teenage boys and asked if they would help. After carrying everything down we had to get my cat. He was so terrified there that as soon as I let him out of his carrier he disappeared. I thought he was gone but found out that he had crawled through a hole on the bottom of the box spring. We could not get him out so we took the mattress off and lifted the box spring so kitty went out another hole. We finally got him, I paid them both $5 each and left. Oh did I mention that the front desk girl advised me to drive to store on the corner cuz it wasn't the safest neighborhood but they had the safest spot and the police patrolled there, as one had been hanging around the night before. Then as I'm leaving another guest came to complain that he and his girlfriend had been there 2 nights, had bed bug bites and pictures and hadn't had towels the whole time they were there!! This place is down right disgusting and scary! BEWARE!!!
