The motel is in dire need of remodeling. The roiof and back side is in terrible condition . Otherwise it was ok.

Clean, affordable older motel. Well maintained. Could use more comfortable matresses.

Room was as advertised.  Clean, quaint, quiet.  if your looking for a room to just spend the night on its perfect.

I had a wonderful weekend getaway here.  Lots of Restaurants to choose from, and I felt very safe being here.

Great location, clean, quiet, and great pool.

I loved how quiet it was. Not alot of people like if you went to a big hotel. The pool wasnt too crowded.  The people were all very friendly.

It is a nice, inexpensive motel. The lobby did smell very strongly of cigarettes even though it is a non smoking establishment. We got two key cards but only one worked unfortunately and we didn’t find out until the middle of the night when my boyfriend arrived and I was already asleep. The room was clean if a little out dated. The plug situation was a little lacking, so bring a power strip with a surge protector if you think you will need to plug in more than two things or want something plugged in near the bed. Overall, for what I paid it was fine. You can’t expect 5 stars for that price, but if you just need a place to stay it works.

The property was CLEAN! That’s a big plus for me because I’ve stayed in more expensive hotels like Extended Stay in Memphis and it was FILTHY! This hotel was reasonably priced, clean, quiet, and all around a “hidden gem” Check in was easy and the gentleman was so nice and polite. Will definitely stay again and highly recommend others to stay here as well.

We were passing through on our way to Indianapolis to view the solar eclipse.Staff was very friendly, check in went smoothly. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was not a pillow top and could use an extra pillow or two, but still quite comfortable .We had a microwave and refrigerator and coffee maker. in room.Older motel but, very well kept. We’ve had a nice stay so far. Convenient to shopping . We would definitely stay here again if in the area. Price was also a plus.

Nice hotel room for the price. Very clean and room was better than expected. Friendly staff. Pool was nice and clean. The hotel was quiet, which I was very happy about. I've been to some hotels that were so loud at night that I couldn't sleep. The bed was comfortable. But my only complaint was the pillows were not. There was no firmness to them at all. Bring your own, if you can. Room had a coffee maker and a mini fridge, which was great. I highly recommend this hotel! Would definitely stay there again!

Nice hotel! Has everything needed for a good stay!

Very nice little motel close to Indiana Beach!  We usually don't choose motels because of safety and noise concerns.  However, we will definitely stay here again! Check in was easy and the staff was very friendly.  Our room was spacious, beds and pillows were very comfortable, everything was clean, mini-fridge kept our food cold, a/c was adequate (and worked nicely as white noise without being annoying.)  We were told our room - 131 - was updated not long ago and had a flat-screen TV.  The area outside our room was nice, clean, and felt safe.  There is also a pool and the water temp was nice, and it was very clean.  It is small but ranges from 3' to 8'.  We used the pool a bit the first night and was able to get in early to use it before we checked out which was very nice of the staff.  This motel is also very close to Walmart and restaurants.Cons for those who may need to know.. however, these weren't big issues for us and won't stop us from staying again: The lobby closes at 10:30 or 11pm and that's where the ice machine is.  The drain in our shower was very slow, and the toilet clogged up (there is a plunger in the bathroom and was quickly cleared).  The pool doesn't open until noon. The WIFI seemed to go in and out.Overall, we had a very nice stay and will be back whenever we go to Indiana Beach.

Budget motel offering clean rooms with wi-fi, cable TV, comfy beds and seasonal swimming. No breakfast. 

Visited Monticello on the second Monday in September and were surprised the place was still full of visitors. 

We got the last 2 queen-bed room at the Monticello Inn. Room had ample room to swing a cat or 2. Very clean bathroom had a bathtub that looked inviting. Complementary toiletries. Soft toilet paper.

Clean, neat operation just outside of town

It was quiet. The staff was nice. The lady at the front desk when we checked in could have been more inviting. She was more worried about her hair getting done then wanting to check her guests in. The rooms were clean but there were no bottles of shampoo n conditioner. Other then that it is a nice place to stay.

Judging by other old reviews, I'm guessing management took complaints to heart. 
We wanted a cheap place to stay, and we got it. It's not fancy, but it was clean, comfortable, and the temperature maintained well for our 3 night stay, both when we needed heat and when AC was needed. 
The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. We had been told there was a mini fridge in the room but there wasn't- I guess the room had recently been refreshed and it got removed- and they immediately brought us one. 

We'll definitely stay here any time we're in Monticello, and recommend it to anyone who goes there too.

Great value- Nothing fancy, but clean

We made an impromptu visit, got a room, and the air conditioner was not working.  After about an hour, I couldn't take it and we told management about it.  They moved us to a much bigger, better room for the same price and we slept like babies. 

They were in the middle of renovating the hotel, and we got to see a before room as well as an after room.  It's not high-class, but a decent little stay for a small price.
