Due to limited availability in Greencastle we chose this motel. Definitely worth driving the extra 10 minutes to the next town. From the time we placed the phone call for initial booking of the room to the time we checked out we could not understand the proprietor. Very poor English and difficult to understand. Attached are some photos as examples of what you’re going to find at this “Inn” motel. The first two pictures are in the bathtub, the next one is a picture of one of the many bugs found in the room, the washcloths and towels were very stained and a dingy yellowish/black color along with cigarette burns on the blanket and the sheets were very stained. The last picture represents the bathroom wall which appears that someone had urinated on the wall and it ran down (I’m not sure what it was) however it did look very disgusting. The pillows were so flat you might as well have slept on the pillow case alone. I am not a hotel snob however this is way beyond acceptable and comfortable.

Very small intimate family owned Inn. Rooms small but clean and easily assessable. Staff very accommodating and quick to meet any concerns. Price per night very reasonable. Nothing fancy about the place but definitely met our needs for the Covered Bridge Festival.

Perfect for Covered Bridge Festival

We were traveling and there was a big bike race going on in the area and we couldn't find any lodging in any chain hotels... So I booked a night here before arriving around midnight.  It's a small motel   But the room was clean, and we only needed it for a few hours of sleep so it worked out fine.  

Very late check in 

My friends and I stay here every year during the Covered Bridge Festival.  This is a small family run motel. The owner has made new upgrades every year.  They work very hard. If you are looking for a Comfort Inn or Best Western, keep looking because this is not it but it is clean and safe.  The owner is friendly and accommodating.  I would recommend this place to my friends anytime.

Over the last 6 years, I have stayed in just about every room that they have at one
time or another.
I have always found them clean, and that they try and take care of the place.
They often have a "spicy" smell.
I think it is just an air freshener that they use.
I have never found it offensive.
Chris stated that "Not a mom and pop"
It is indeed owned by a husband, wife, and a son.
They may not be American born. 
But they are good people who try to give you a nice clean place
to stay for the night.

Can't see the one bad review as fair in my opinion.

We booked on line and should have known the pictures would be better than real life. But it sounded like a mom and pop motel and we gave it a try. Not a mom and pop we were greeted by a foreigner who could only say " no smoke, sign here , and sank you. upon entering our room we were almost knocked out by the smell of some kind of chemical  REoderizer. the walls were dirty, the beds were from the 1970s, the pillows must have been also because the were less than an inch thick( no kidding) The bathroom was clean but that was about the only thing. I am surprised that they advertise this as a nightly rent motel. It is more on the lines of a weekly rent efficiency or homeless shelter. NASTY< NASTY< NASTY !
