This small motel is in a great location and that is, by far, the best thing about it. The motel has 23 rooms and, I believe, all have ocean views. The motel is walkable to the park and restaurants and, of course, to the beach. 

A few other pros: the rooms are a decent size. The motel has free and reliable wifi but the TV reception (Dish) was spotty. The AC worked fine. The rooms have a mini fridge and microwave. There is an outdoor shower and hose to rinse off from beach. 

But the hotel has so many negatives. It generally has a low-rent feel. It appeared to be occupied primarily by long-termers. Long termers who smoke and hang out in the hallways and give the place an not-so-nice vibe. We had small children with us and felt uneasy by the loitering. 

The rooms were in desperate need of deep cleaning, esp the carpet, which would leave the bottoms of your feet black after walking on it. The floors a mix of tile and carpet. Should be all tile. Bathroom was moldy. 

Furnishings: other than the beds, the room had one small table and only one chair. No daily maid service, no breakfast, no vending, no amenities, no pool, no phones in rooms. The sliding glass doors to the balcony did not slide easily. Additionally, the motel has some bug issues especially spiders.

I cannot recommend this motel.

Great location, not-so-great everything else

We stayed there March of 2017. We had a 3rd floor room. The sliding doors stuck, and when my husband tried to open it, the door came off the rail. When he opened the front door to go tell the manager, the sliding door came crashing into the room right on the table, where we were sitting a few minutes earlier. Once the manager was told the response was, "I will be up after I get a shower." Then my husband went back down and he was sitting outside smoking a cigarette. When he finally came up, he was with a female manager, and 2 other employees. The female asked if we threw something at the door, I honestly looked at her like she was crazy! I said, IF we would of thrown something how would the door crash into the room and glass all over the table and floor? She refused to give me the owner's name. Very rude, would not recommend this motel to anyone. There is a motel right beside it, called Beach Tropics, and it is so much nicer and the employees are very friendly and professional, not drunks.

Unprofessional management. They do not take care of rooms.

We should have ran when we were told if we paid cash we would save $50.00. But this was over the phone. My husband grew up in the area and wanted a show me around-he wanted a hotel with direct access to the beach. Therefore, he made the reservations. When we arrived we were shocked!!  The motel is smelly, smelly wash room, dirty sleeping area, candy & debris in the room. We were not able to find another hotel so we had to settle. We went to the store to buy towels and sheets. We were out of the hotel the first thing in the morning. Do not visit this dirty motel!! Very disappointing!!

One word for this motel DISGUSTING!!

We absolutely adore this place. We live in the Melbourne area and we go to this Motel quite often as our little getaways. We actually rented out 5 rooms this month for our wedding friends and family. Not a single one of them was disappointed. You can not beat the price 4 such an amazing view. I mean come on it is Ocean View. The rooms have always been clean and well provided with amenities. And I just cannot say enough about the manager. She is one of the nicest people I have ever met. It is well worth the time to check this little gem out. But not too many of you we want to be able to get in haha

Our home away from home

If your sense of smell is dead after a lifetime of smoking, this may be the place for you. My first clue should have been the manager refusing to let me have a look at the room before I paid. After all, I was lucky to get this oceanfront gem at $110, while predictable clean places down the street with full amenities & pool were $20 more. I agreed & tiredly climbed the 3 flights. What was this? White pails outside doors in the aisles, full of cigarette butts. Oh well, much better than littering. When I reached my room, happily the front door read "No Smoking." My expectations before opening the door were that of a modest but clean room with a fresh ocean breeze. The reality upon opening the door was an assault on the senses. The sign on the door was a sick joke. There was a deep down foul smoke smell in every cheap fiber in that room. It was so saturated that the smell became a taste. The taste being only what  I could imagine eating cigarette butts would taste like. So, after spending a good amount of time out & only coming back to sleep for a few hours before leaving early the next morning, this should have been it, right? Not quite....back at home putting on my pajamas only worn a few hours at motel, I had to gag. They reeked of smoke. In fact all my soft luggage & contents reeked & everything required a wash in vinegar. Take my advice, pay the extra 20 bucks, go somewhere clean, go somewhere predictable & go somewhere where they aren't ashamed to show you the room.
