Hampton Inn & Suites Chicago/Aurora

My husband and I spent 3 nights here while visiting family in the area. The hotel is well situated next to major highways, and yet very quiet and next to a nice green belt with a pond. There was plenty of free parking. Several restaurants are within walking distance, and a variety of other eateries are close by. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and the lobby is spacious and attractive, as are the hotel grounds. Our 2nd floor King Bed Standard Room was spacious, clean, and attractively decorated. The bathroom was also good sized with plenty of shelf and counter space. There was a coffee maker, small fridge, microwave, desk, comfortable chair and nice size closet in the room. The AC worked well, but the wifi was slow. The bed was comfortable with extra pillows, and other than some noise in the hall when some guests were moving about, it was mostly a quiet stay. The free breakfast buffet had cold and hot options, oatmeal and cereals, breads, fresh fruit, sausage and gravy, eggs, potatoes, yogurts and a waffle maker. They only had 2% milk, while I was hoping for a milk substitute. The breakfast room was plenty big with enough tables and chairs for all guests. Coffee and tea were available all day in the lobby. We didn't use the indoor pool but saw other folks using it. Overall, it was a good stay, and we would return if again in the Aurora area.
