My sister, her granddaughter, and I wanted a weekend getaway for Mother's Day. The only criteria: an indoor pool for my great niece and a pet friendly hotel for my dog. Holiday Inn Express fit both bills. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The breakfast hostess was very pleasant. Several places to walk my dog. There was even a picnic table where we had a picnic one afternoon. Beds and pillows were firm. Large vanity in the bathroom. Shower had nice hot water but the flow wasn't strong enough for me. Keurig for coffee and tea. Mini fridge and microwave. Nice desk and chair near the window. Large TV with plenty of channels. All in all, a great room that satisfied our needs. The hotel is out of the way, as in it's not walkable to anywhere. You must drive a short distance to any restaurant, etc. Easy parking. Very quiet location just off Exit 58; however, our room faced the busy I65 interstate. We will definitely stay here again when in the area although we may ask for a room that doesn't face the interstate.
