Munising Motel

Was greeted by Renee and she was so sweet.  Asked for some recommendation about some of the waters falls and places eat.  The rooms were nice not over crowded which was awesome. The only downfall is that if someone is staying in the room above, you can hear them stomping around all night.  Other than that the place and people were great.

Easy check-in. We had a late arrival and Vicki had us all set when we arrived. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable.

We spent one night in this quaint motel.  Very clean and Vicky was friendly with our check in.  We woukd definitely choose to stay here again for a bit longer visit.

Self checkin/checkout was easy. It was chilly and took us a bit to figure out that the air conditioner was also the heat (FYI). The room was clean and provided a good night’s sleep. Convenient to restaurants and shopping. Centrally located in Munising.

Very walkable to the ‘downtown’ area of Munising!  The motel was spotless and Nicole and the young Alabama man were friendly and helpful with information!   Thanks for a great stay!

We stayed at the Munising Motel in Munising, Michigan on Friday night, we took the Picture Rocks Boat Cruise at 4pm. We stopped by the motel at 2pm and we were able to get in our room. It was an outside entrance with a door key lock. The room was basically 2 Double Beds, a bathroom with a stand up shower and toilet. The rooms are just to sleep in as you would be out doing other things in the community. The TV was different though, it was a Fire Stick and you couldn't get local channels. We watched YouTube mostly as we couldn't find regular tv channels, but that was about the only thing that was different.It, the motel was worth the money we paid for it, and close to everything to do up there.

Loved this little motel. Reminded me of the ones we stayed at when I was a child. Very neat, clean & conveniently located. No breakfast served but a few nice little cafes close by. Would definitely stay again.

Cute, non-chain hotel. It’s in a good location—easy walk to main drag and restaurants. Room was a little small and shower was very small but was well maintained, clean, and quiet. European sized.  The only issue I had was temperature control—only heat or air on or off so bed was warm but room was cold. I’d still stay here again.

Check in was a breeze, even at the late hour we rolled in.  The motel felt very safe and well lit.  The room and bathroom were very clean and most things had been updated, except for the most important items: the bed and comforter. Both mattresses were terribly uncomfortable, with springs popping.  Also, there was a yellowing duvet sandwiched between two sheets instead of encased in a duvet cover. We were only there to get a good nights sleep before hitting the trail for 4 days, so while the room was nice, the sleep was not.

I like the room as it is quite new and comfortable for a motel. Probably retrofitted recently. Room is clean and every basic thing you need is available. TV is huge. location is convenient to walk to town only thing is it is along the main road. We were there during the lull period so it wasn’t very noisy.

We had to haul our luggage through a very small reception area up a very narrow indoor staircase. The room itself was comfortable and clean. The walking of other guests on the wooden walk outside was loud. Also we could hear the guests in the next room talking in normal conversation. Mostly it was a fine stay and met our needs. But since we stayed out of season (early October) there was hardly any places to eat, and the hours of those were somewhat random.

We very much appreciated the ability to get a first floor room. The desk clerk was very helpful and willing to change to such a room.  Facilities were very clean. The bed was a king and very comfortable. Only concern was there were no grab bars in the shower. Older folks sometimes need these. A shower can be somewhat dangerous without a bar or a chair for support.    Otherwise…. we really enjoyed the room!

Good Location, Room was clean, Beds were okay, With 3 adults in the room came into only a half roll of toilet paper with no extra roll available, had to ask for another roll before the front desk person left for the evening @ 9p.m.Stayed 2 nights.**Window on the door is very bright at daybreak**lights up the room, no sleeping in.  Door lock not very sturdy.....

The motel is kept quite clean and I liked the stay overall. The only thing that bothered me was that the staff was never available later in the night or in the morning time, which is exactly when ppl use the property, most orlf the day you are out enjoying things in and around the area. If you needed something early monring, like a towel, there was  no one available to ask

We up and decided to stay another night in Munising, but our place we were at didn’t have a room available for an extra night.  We found this place at a reasonable price.It’s cute on the outside, but it looks nicer on the inside.  The bathroom was modern, the decor was nice, nice fridge, and TV.  The a/c worked wonderfully.  The beds had cute bedding, the pillows were between flimsy and firm… so just right, the bed was a little soft for me.  I prefer a firm mattress, but it was not a bad mattress by any means.   Son loved it, I did sleep well. Just a personal preference of mine, but I did get good sleep.  I will say when we checked in, the room smelled like weed.  I asked the front desk person if they had another room available and they gave it to us immediately and apologized.  No smell in the new room and they made it SO easy to switch.  I would definitely stay again!
