Easy in, easy out. Rooms are always spotlessly clean. Beds are comfy. Staff is friendly and efficient.

I was right on the snowmobile trail. Outside entrance to the rooms.

The only negative is thin walls and loud neighbors. If you can get past that, you’re in for some lovely service, warm and clean rooms, a decent amount of amenities, and a stay in a fascinating part of Mich.

Alger Falls Hotel is my go-to when visiting Munising. No frills - just a clean, spacious room, a comfortable bed, and easy in and out parking.

Stayed to ride sleds. Location is great for getting to food gas and trails. Dealership couple blocks away. So if you need something its close.

Very basic, no frills. That said, the room was spacious and clean. Bed was firm and comfortable. Excellent location for visiting Pictured Rocks area.

Great basic hotel.  They could use a little more room for the snowmobile trailers. ;^)

I liked it was right off of the snowmobile trail. Parking was a little tight with trucks and trailers but definitely doable.

Excellent location, great owners, friendly and helpful.

I love that's it's felt likes home. It was clean,quiet, comfortable bed,and close to a lot of waterfalls. The staff was friendly and kind. I will definitely be going back next year! They even gave us a different room with a bigger bed because our room wasn't done when we got there,at no extra charge!

Needs updating, seems like every motel I’ve been to could just get new carpet? but this place was quite clean m, comfortable beds and very close to pictured rocks cruises and downtown Munising. So happy we found it and were able to stay somewhere clean and comfortable, and with our dog. Backs up to Hiawatha National Forest, just gorgeous. Thanks so much.

We had a great stay at the Alger Falls Motel. We were up to run the Pictured Rocks Half Marathon that took place on a Sunday. Due to this, we were going to be unable to check out at the scheduled 10 AM time, however, we are accommodated nicely and were able to get a late check-out. The motel is older, but has everything you need. I am not sure if it's listed, but there is a Keurig in the room with the fridge and microwave. Additionally, they have complimentary coffee in the lobby room. The room was clean and a decent size for two people. There was a pretty strong mildew smell in our room that required us to keep the window in the bathroom and the room itself open for the entirety of our stay. All in all, we would return and would recommend!

The lower price caught my attention in such a popular area during peek season and I was very pleasantly surprised to find this gem. Although a little outdated the owners have taken great pride in keeping their property well maintained and clean.  The woman who checked us in was very pleasant and accommodating.    I would definitely stay again.   Thank you!

We stayed here for one night while visiting Pictured Rocks. This is a true motel, with single-story buildings spread out along the parking lot and a door into each room from that lot. This made it pretty convenient for loading and unloading luggage in our car.

The staff here were very friendly, and we appreciated their helpfulness. The room itself was fine. The bed was okay, a little hard, and the Wifi in our building was broken when we stayed (we had to walk over to another building to tap into that Wifi). No breakfast is available onsite (although I believe they did have coffee), so we had to find breakfast elsewhere.

Overall for the price, this was a fine value for somewhere near Pictured Rocks.

Fine choice for the Pictured Rocks area

This was a good economic choice for lodging in the Munising area.  The location and price worked well for us.  The beds were comfortable and the room and surroundings were clean and tidy. We have already recommended this motel to friends and we would stay here again if in the area.  The motel is located near the highway so traffic noise is expected; we had the window closed while we slept and were not bothered by it.

Great choice for Munising.

Clean and great staff!  We checked in late and simply called to make arrangements for registration and the key.  On our last day, our child tested positive for Covid, and the staff allowed us extra time to check out, as the trip to urgent care took longer than anticipated.  They were already coming in with the fumigation and being ready to scrub our room clean.  

The location is convenient to Munising and Pictured Rocks.  Only 16 rooms, and very quiet.  They also provide a microwave and mini-fridge.  We would absolutely stay here, again.

Clean and convenient

This place was cute inside and out. It wasn't spotless, but it was very clean. It was $110 after taxes and fees for one night. The only downside was that there was work being done on the road right outside of the motel exits so we were basically trapped but had no choice but to drive over the wet asphalt which our car bottomed out over. One important thing to note about the location of this motel is that it IS in Munising, which is an hour away from the end of Pictured Rocks park near Grand Marais (where Sable Falls is), so plan accordingly if you wanted to explore that end of the park and are staying in Munising.

Great place, great service

We stayed at Alger Falls Motel when we visited the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore during Labor Day weekend. The room was nice, the beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean. The location was great for us because we were within minutes of Munising and we drove to Taquamenon Falls (1-1/2 hours east) and also drove to Kitch-Iti-Kipi Springs (almost an hour south).   Price was great as well.

Nice place to stay near Pictured Rocks.

Clean room, decent TV but no cable channels, queen bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows, microwave and fridge in the room, friendly staff who helped us pick great places to eat during our stay.
Only complaint was the wet carpet smell we noticed after we closed the window when we arrived and then left for dinner and came back. We stayed 2 nights and didn't have the smell the next day, just the first night, maybe they cleaned the carpet before us, not sure
