Stayed here and had a wonderful experience. The owners are great. The room was excellent. The bar on street level is the best in town. Staff was friendly and attentive. Could not ask for a better all around experience. 100% recommend. I will be staying here again.

We choose the Library Suite.  A nice set up with large living room, bedroom, bath and kitchenette.  There was a great covered porch on the back with seating and tables, too. Bar downstairs but only open Friday & Saturday until 11 pm.  Nice place for a beverage.  Very close to restaraunts, trolley stop and shopping. All very walkable, but could drive and park everywhere, too.  Trolley makes winery stops, but I recommend using that service early in the morning and returning early afternoon.  Too many wild people later in the day!  Schiller Guest Suites are easy to book online and you are not charged in advance for your stay.  No TV, but it's nice to get away from that once in a while.

I was gifted a night at Schiller for my birthday and enjoyed the evening with my fiancé. Connie was great to work with-so nice and accommodating. She had a fresh baked quiche waiting in our room along with everything you would need for breakfast. The Alsace was perfectly decorated and very clean. The antiques made it feel like stepping into a time machine. The canopy bed was very comfortable. The Bank Bar had a great atmosphere with a friendly bartender. Jake made us martinis for our complimentary drink and they were delicious. Will definitely stay again when we’re jn Hermann!

We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are large and done with class. They don’t have a TV in the room, it was nice to concentrate on each other instead of the tube. We loved the Bank Bar, the bar closes at 11:30 which is nice if you are trying to sleep. We loved Hermann lots of beautiful scenery, great wine and food! A fun trip for a large group (28 of us) but would be fun for a couple trip too! We came in on the train and had a great time!

The suites are right in the middle of Hermann allowing most of the attractions including the trolleys to be within a short walk. Right below is an upscale martini bar with a fully stocked beer and wine list. The rooms are incredible, I highly recommend the Library which includes a deck and stunning views of the Hermann hillside. We have stayed several times and will be back.

We stayed here just recently.  The room was very nice, clean.  The kitchen was equipped with snacks, instant oatmeal.  The fridge has water and juice.  It was a great location to the coffee, dinner, shopping.  The bed was very comfortable.   Has a Kuerig coffee pots, some coffee pods, and a reusable pod to bring your own ground coffee.  

If you have issues doing steps, you may not want the suites up the stairs.  Kind of steep.  

The management might think about putting a towel in the kitchen with some dish soap so guests can do their dishes.  Also, when we got in there were three lights out.  the lamp in the living room had no bulb, so we took a bulb from the lamp in the bedroom for the living room lamp.  we were supposed to check in at the Bar downstairs at 3, but it was closed.  We received an email after 3:00 giving us updated instructions on how to get into the room.  Good thing we brought a laptop.  Also, we paid for the couples indulgence and wine, chocolates  were supposed to be in the room but they weren't.  We were refunded.  The body wash dispenser in the shower was just about empty.  I think when it is being cleaned they might want to refill the dispenser each time.  Luckily I brought shower gel.  And for some reason, when we left the room at around noon, and tried to get back in to retrieve something we forgot the lock system and locked us out.  We left two messages and then I called and someone answered.  They had to reset the code.  

It was a rocky start, but overall we enjoyed the stay and the suite.

My husband and I stayed two nights at the Schiller Guest Suites. This was our first time staying at accommodations not in a hotel setting. We received a text from the innkeeper with details about our room. We were provided with contact information if needed. Our room was up an outdoor, narrow stairwell. Upon arrival the suite was cold, and it took a few hours to warm up the room. The suite was very clean. The décor was well chosen and appropriate to the age of the building. Considering we were visiting Hermann in December we were surprised to find only a quilt and sheet for bedding. However, there was a Family Dollar store nearby, so we bought a few extra blankets. Muffins, fresh fruit, juice, and milk were waiting for us when we arrived. The kitchen was also stocked with instant oatmeal, microwave popcorn, and coffee. The walls in the building are fairly thin and we could hear our neighbors. However, it was not loud enough to keep us up during the night. Some noise from outside was a little troublesome as I am a light sleeper. Shops, restaurants, and museums were all within walking distance. Overall, we had a pleasant stay. One thing to note: the room does not include a tv or radio. This was only an issue when we had severe weather and the tornado sirens were going off. We were able to find minimal information on our phones and after contacting the innkeeper we felt we were safe.

We booked the Historic District Lofty Kitchenette. The location is close to everything we needed: shops, eats, drink, music and trolley ride to the wineries. We walked everywhere. The room we booked unknowingly had a LOT of stairs to get to it. (2 flights totaling 37 steps to be exact). Let's just say we strategically made trips back to the loft. It was clean and had a full kitchenette (we didn't need one).  The room does not have a TV (didn't need that either). The bar downstairs is for sale so there was no noise. The first day the outside temp was 95 so the room was tad warm even with the AC on but it cooled down in the evening. The second day the temp was only 81 with rain so very comfortable. We would stay again but maybe in one of the other suites on the lower level.

We came back for a return visit because our first visit a year ago was so wonderful. On this visit we stayed two nights and receive the same amount of food as when we stayed for only one night last year. We didn't have enough food for the second day and by 6:00 I texted Connie, and she told me that the room was provisioned for the whole weekend upon arrival. We tried to go to the grocery store to get more food but they were already closed. We were concerned because we had an 80 mile bike ride with 100 degree heat index the next day and needed to start out with some energy. Schiller's is a nice place, but there are no services provided beyond checking in.

Nice suite, but disappointing food situation.

For the amount of money we paid for a weekend getaway, I was less than impressed. There were several parts of the room that were not cleaned (counters sticky, crumbs all over the counters, and dishes in the cabinets were no where near clean!) There was limited, and I mean LIMITED, hot water. I take very quick showers, the hot water lasted 2 minutes and then was freezing and never warmed up, so that was lovely.... The bed was broken...to the point it was like the episode of I Love Lucy where she and Ricky sink to the middle of the bed....that is how horribly the bed was broken. We ended up sleeping on the ground instead. I read reviews that said it was quiet and you could not even tell there was a business below...not the case. Was loud with music and bar chatter until about 0100 hours. There was a fridge in the kitchenette, but the milk and juice were almost empty so we just did without drinking. I would not waste the money. The bar itself is very good, but the accommodations not so much. I wish I could get somewhat of a refund.
