Beautiful rooms in a relaxed setting. Being in the Yellowstone Park was a huge advantage for travel time.

Friendly staff greeted us and offered interesting things to do and see. The lack of tv and Wi-Fi are a plus if you’re looking for a quiet time to read and enjoy the lake.The breakfast buffet was great and the view of the lake made breakfast a memorable experience.

BEst of the inside the park places. Lodge was a good choice and tacos near the lake were great.

Right within the park was a great feature.   Lake was beautiful

It was a great place. I would have thought there would have a fining room rather than just cafeteria style food.

The ladies at reception area were soooo friendly and nice I believe Melissa was her name. Very welcoming

The lodge was conveniently located within the park and the accommodations were comfortable and clean. As we visited at the end of the season, many of the restaurants and dining opportunities were already closed but that’s no reflection on Grant Village or Yellowstone as a whole. The park was amazingly beautiful

Grant Village is right at the center of the park, easy to park and convenient to explore the park. Hotel is some steps away from the lake so you can enjoy morning and sunset beautifully. There is no Wi-Fi or even phone signal for T-Mobile which we found annoying at first but loved it later as we could enjoy the park more rather than opened the phone all the time. As there is no Wi-Fi, it is better that you plan your trip in advance.There is no room service every day though we stayed for 4 nights. Restaurants are regularly booked but the service is quick. The food is varied and friendly staff.

You’re paying here for the privilege and convenience of staying within the park.  That being said I was fine with no TV and no WiFi or internet access.  The only thing I’d say is to do some research ahead of time for your plans given the only internet access is in the registration building a short drive away.

Great to wake up & start day within the park.

The room was clean and comfortable.   The only WiFi is in the lobby.  Great location for the south part of the park. The taco and nacho bar was excellent.   Ample parking.   When we checked in, there was an issue with the room card machine. It took the staff about 15 minutes to get it up and running again, but they were awesome! It’s one thing to be friendly and courteous when everything is going right, but to maintain that Composure stress says a lot about the staff

Das erste Parkhotel auf unserem Weg durch Yellowstone und absolut in Ordnung. Es sind schöne Lodges und noch etwas günstiger als Old Faithful Inn usw. Es war sauber und wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.Die Matratzen waren für unser Empfinden etwas zu hart. Aber diese Bewertung ist natürlich subjektiv. Our first Parkhotel on our way through Yellowstone and it was absolutely fine. It has some nice Lodges and is a bit cheaper than Old Faithful Inn etc. It was clean and we felt very good. The mattresses were a bit hart. But that is of course a subjective evaluation.

We had the best three days at Grant Village, Coyote building. When researching hotels, our main goal was paying a reasonable price and being inside the park.  We knew the rooms would be dated and  would have "just the basics."  But, we would wake up INSIDE the park! The rooms were  a tad small,  but very clean and cozy!  The room did NOT smell bad. We did NOT feel that the walls were paper thin. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the shower had plenty of hot water. There is not an elevator,  TV or air-conditioning. Again, we knew this when booking. I am giving this lodge a five star review because it was exactly as described! We never expected a five star resort because we were not paying a five star price. We did our research and got more than we bargained!  (and waking up in the park is THE BEST!)

COZY

Okay, there are mixed reviews on Grant Village, and I believe a majority of those are from people expecting something different. The purpose of lodging at Yellowstone is to be part of nature. There is no air conditioning, no televisions, and no Wi-Fi at Grant Village. That is not something they neglected. Rather, it was a studied and deliberate choice that encourages a Teddy Rooseveltian embrace and love of nature. We saw wildlife right outside our window in the evening, and I do not think we would have had that opportunity at a Motel 6. We also stayed during COVID-19, and we considered ourselves very, very lucky to be able to enter Yellowstone and have the opportunity to stay there. Yes, price SHOULD have been reduced to reflect the absence of housekeeping and food service, but do not let that get in the way of an authentic visit to one of the most beautiful places in the entire world.

Know What to Expect.

I see complaints about lack of WiFi and TV, but this is why we vacation in the National Parks!  It’s nice to not have the media screaming their agenda at you for a few days.

Anyways, had a great stay at YNP.  I like the price point of Grant, and coupled with the fact that this location is out of the way from major tourist areas like Mammoth and Old Faithful.  Traffic was at a minimum, and we had several nights of quiet sleep.  Beds comfortable, room was clean and everything we needed for a good night’s sleep.

No cleaning service, which I’m growing to enjoy now that we’ve travelled a bit.  I like not having cleaning service rummaging thru my room when I’m not there.  I’m don’t need a daily cleanup/bed straightening any more when on vacation than when I’m at home.

I’d stay again, and hope to revisit the park again someday.
