Beautiful and private world-class beach with nice beach chairs and umbrellas.  Steel drum background music in the evening, everyone happy and having a great time.  My room was great and so was the staff!

I chose this Awesome location on the beach for an impromptu getaway. I was extremely happy with my decision. The hotel is very peaceful and picturesque. Lots of bird’s singing,  10 min drive to nearby towns, shopping, restaurants etc. Staff was very young, friendly and hospitable. Would definitely return, loved it!

Hampton Ocean Resort is located between the bay on one side and an uncrowded beautiful beach on the other side. The hotel has a wonderful laid back vibe. The rooms are simple, but large and clean, most with kitchenettes. Water and ample snacks are available all day and free. While I sat on the beach hotel staff came around with ice water and chips! There are barbecues for grilling and beach lounges and umbrellas.

Loved spending my weekend here with a group of friends. The location is unmatched, beach is quiet and serene and the rooms are very spacious! Felt like a home away from home. Would come back in a heart beat

Excellent weekend with friends. Great location - just a short drive into town. The staff were super nice, the rooms were clean with kitchens, the lawn is a great spot for outdoor meals. The hotel is right on a beautiful private beach.

I stayed at the Hampton Ocean Resort with a group of friends at the end of June 2022. The weekend couldn’t have been any better! Rooms were very clean, conveniently located near town, gorgeous beach with lounges, full kitchen for cooking, lots of supplies (towels, paper products, etc.) and safe at night since it’s on a private property. The staff was extremely helpful in answering any questions my group and I had during our fabulous weekend. We really enjoyed sitting around the fire at night too. I can’t wait to come back here next summer!

Incredible views of the ocean and bay. Private beach access making ocean swimming, beach walks and nighttime star gazing an east must. Ideal set up for a family/friends trip. Staff is kind and helpful. Rooms are lovely and clean.

Beautiful location, great vibes

The staff were some college-aged guys who made us feel super welcome.  The place isn't what we were expecting, which, for my family, was totally awesome!  We wanted to experience The Hamptons without all the rich/famous/fancy/frills, and this place was perfect for that!  The location and beach access were exactly what we were hoping for!  Housekeeping was a little disorganized, but the laid-back atmosphere was just what we wanted and everyone (staff and guests) was helpful!  There was a fridge full of N/A beverages, burgers for the grill if you wanted to use that, coffee and snacks in the lobby, and yard games in the grass outside, just before you stepped up the wooden staircase and onto the beach.  I'd go back!

Best weekend ever!

It’s 11:30pm ,  beach resort have no restaurant but with fully equip kitchen , what else should I do but mix my own strawberry mojito. At the deck listening to waves of the Atlantic. It’s not the Ritz or Waldorf so leave your opulent self by the door. But you get the beach all for yourself, beach chairs and umbrella will be ready for you if you ask. NO HIDDEN FEES!! If you don’t like sandy toes on the reception area, large sea shells on your path , an open grill, make your own hotdog or burger on the grill or bonfire at night,s’mores,  the ocean breeze , wonky sea grass trail to the ocean, the star lit sky, bay at the front and beach at the back then go some place else. It’s rustic nautical feel did not deter me from nasty people’s review. It’s a beach property and opens only on summer, so the outside area seem weather beaten, but when you step inside the room, the sheets and towels smells good, the carpeted floor is not sandy, the bedroom is separate and the kitchenette is an awesome addition, please bring your utensils. Although young people manage the place they go out of their way to give you what you think you “deserve” , even drive out to town to buy you cream cheese , coffee or whatever your entitled self desires , all with pleasure as courtesy from the hotel. They lit the fire pit, start the grill, give towels or sheets. Not to mention fridge with free drinks , we even got beers, snacks and burgers. This  place is a rarity in the heart of Hampton's. For the price?? Yes it’s worth it! Max and Ray are awesome. We were given a wrong key in an untidied room, Max apologized and give us our key and a 50% discount. No one tells you what to do and what not to do as you try to unwind.which is what I love the most. I will come again before this summer ends and  I will do every summer .

yes.. it could use some paint and a few renovations
 but big deal...we all could use a little work..

with breathe taking sunsets on Shinnecock Bay
close to Westhampton and village of Southampton
but far away from the crowds..  Have you been to Coopers beach lately??

And the best part....... Bring Fido!!!!

Location, Location, Location

This place is fantastic if you prefer to avoid the “stuffy” crowd.Off the beaten path a bit on Dune Rd, there’s a very laid back feel to the hotel. Incredibly convenient direct beach access (about 30 steps from the entrance to our room) and plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas that these kids who comprise the staff have no problem setting up for you if you can’t do it yourself.The rooms are cozy. Clean but pretty old. If you’re vacation is going to be ruined by wood panel walls or a bathroom that isn’t sparkling with marble floors and HGTV home walk in showers I’d say this isn’t the place for you.The bedding was clean and comfy the ac was cold and they even light fire pits at night right over near the bbq grills they have for guests to grill complimentary burgers and dogs that they keep stocked in a guest fridge in the lobby.Should also mention it’s pet friendly dogs are allowed anywhere on the property as long as they’re leashed. Only gripe was an outdoor spotlight shining through our bedroom window all night. Hardly ruined what was a phenomenal weekend when all was said and done. Thank you to the staff for a great stay!

My wife and I booked this for us and our 2 college age kids.  If your goal is to spend time on a nice beach this is the place for you.  The staff is very helpful.   They got us set up on the beach with chairs and an umbrella and even grilled burgers for us and brought them to our room.   The community fridge is stocked with drinks and plenty of snacks.   So you can just show up and park yourself on the beach and forget about everything for a couple of days.

We booked for one night since we had a 5k in the area. Here is the thing... when we first walked in, we were greeted by about 5 college looking kids. They were nice, but a little loud.. typical college students. So it kind of threw us off and not sure how this was going to be. But let me tell you, everything was great! They had a stocked fridge in the common area with water, sodas, burgers, hotdogs, yogurt, etc. all up for grabs. They have a grill outside so you can grill.

The rooms were nice. Our AC was broken but they kindly replaced it immediately. The TV didn't really work - barely any stations and I'm sure if we said something they would have fixed it but since we were staying one night it wasn't necessary for us. 

The best part is the resort is right on the beach. In the Hamptons I've found in the past it's very hard to find a public beach. Most are private and you need a permit. Well here, you're right on the beach. There are plenty of cushioned lounge chairs, huge umbrellas, tables, etc. The staff will help you set it up if needed.

Honestly, I was happily surprised at how great this place was, considering it did look like it was run by college students. But they know how to run a resort, they are super attentive and kind and I would absolutely return in the future. Thanks for a great stay!

Surprisingly great (and in a good way)

This resort is located a quick ride from Long Island Rail on a tranquil stretch of beach.   To the east is a state park, to the west, a stretch that is not so built up.  The resort is just beyond the dunes and to the other side is the bay.  Due to location and the construction of the building (shaped like an X) every room seems to have a view of either the bay, the beach, or both, and every room opens on to a porch with a picnic table.  Our suite was large, clean, and comfortable, and included a complete kitchen with an, oven, stove, cupboards, fridge, and countertops, so you can do all the cooking you want, you would just have to bring pots and pans. (I think all the rooms might have a kitchen, but maybe double check.) There are also gas range grills available outside.  The resort supplies hamburgers, hotdogs, and buns, as well as popsicles, snack food, and for breakfast, cereal, bagels, muffins, yogurt, coffee, and tea.  The staff even offered to grill for us.  We stopped at the supermarket on the way and grilled our dinner every night.  However, if you prefer to eat out, I think there are plenty of restaurants in the area.  The resort is staffed by a large group of helpful, friendly, young people.  Any problem we ran into they seemed glad to quickly help us with.  The guests were all cheerful and happy to be in such a friendly, beautiful, tranquil place.  The building is an older one and has some wear and tear, but everything is clean, cozy, and comfortable.
