Located right on Mystic River, this hotel has beautiful river views. They have great winter deals, and I highly recommend booking a room on the second floor with a river view. We stayed in the Marie Gilbert room, which was spacious and clean. It had an easy-to-light fireplace and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the river. Made-to-order breakfast was included. Steamboat Inn is right in downtown Mystic and next door to two amazing restaurants: The Mariner and Via Emilia. Highly Recommend!

Great Romantic Getaway!

Charming Inn located in walking distance to downtown Mystic!  The views of the river are spectacular.
It’s also a great value in the offseason!
We have stayed multiple times over the last few years and have found the Inn to be consistent in their quality.

My wife and I try and stay here after Christmas every year for a couple of days to get away and this hotel never disappoints. I think this was our fifth stay here. We absolutely love it here! First of all, the staff are always so pleasant, always saying hi and they really make you feel welcome. We usually stay in the Marie Gilbert room as it is our favorite. The views of the river and the drawbridge are amazing. The rooms are super comfortable and charming. We love using the fireplace. The hotel is super clean and the breakfast in the mornings are sooooooo good !! You get free parking and really you don't need a car once you are here. Its easily walkable to many shops and restaurants etc. We do miss the cookies and Sherry that they used to leave out :) . I think this is the best hotel in Mystic and for that matter the entire area. We live only a few towns over from here but still love coming here every year that we can.

Another great stay

Very nice, simple, cozy room in a great location. However, no curtain provided capable of blocking a light that’s on all night in the window, no control over the heat-which was around 80 despite thermostat turned down to 50, and detergent smell was so strong the bed, blankets, and towels were unusable and asthma was triggered. Never experienced this in any other hotel/B&B. Use caution before booking if sensitive or have asthma. A few small changes could make this a fantastic Inn. 

BEWARE ASTHMATICS!

We had a wonderful time at the Steamboat Inn. The room was lovely. Jacuzzi and shower with great water pressure. Friendly and considerate staff. Great breakfast. With a view right onto the Mystic River - you can see a sloop, the bridge, shops, etc.  
It’s a hop skip from Main Street. Definitely recommended’

My husband and I will be talking about our stay at the Steamboat Inn for many years to come. Our room had a quaint fireplace and full water view and was truly perfect in every way. You can get extra firelogs from the front desk - we used the fireplace both Wintry nights of our stay. The employees take great pride in working at the Inn and it showed from the time we made our reservation through our departure. Thanks to all for being a part of making our anniversary trip so memorable. We loved our room, the location on the water (minutes walk to dining and shopping)  along with the staff. We were lucky to watch the drawbridge go up twice on the second morning of our visit. A beautiful Winter getaway and we cannot wait to return! This is the first vacation we have taken where the room was so inviting that I was perfectly content staying in rather than going out. A welcome change of pace. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

First Time I Haven't Wanted to Leave Our Room!

We stayed in the Victoria room and it was spacious and comfortable. Loved the view and the fireplace on this cold wintery day. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, hot apple cider available 24/7. We would love to come back in the summer!! 

Cozy getaway

My wife and I stayed here in the Annie Wilcox room for a getaway weekend that happened to be the coldest weather in decades. Fortunately, the location of the Inn is so centrally located you can walk to all the restaurants and shops in 5-10 minutes. Many are more like two minutes away. 
All the rooms in the Inn are different and unique. The rooms are literally feet from the river and a nice morning sunrise filters into the room, or you can leave the shades completely closed, but we slept with the shades open just a bit. The bed was extremely comfortable, and for those seeking those super soft luxury hotel pillows, they seem to have them here. 
There were two TVs, one at the foot of the bed in an armoire and the other in a sitting area near the windows. 
The complimentary breakfast offered three main options and it was very well done. It wasn't a continental breakfast; it was actually a hot breakfast served in a small dining area, and you could choose 7:30, 8:30, or 9:30. Staff was very friendly and helpful. 
The bathroom was spotless and appeared newly renovated. 
There aren't many negatives to consider. I would say that in the off-season the rates were a bit high, but when you're just feet from the river, along with the complimentary breakfast and free parking, I guess it's easier to justify. 

Unique hotel experience just feet from the river.

I knew that this Inn was going to be nice, but I was still blown away by just how nice. The suite we reserved was beautiful and spacious with a wonderful view. The staff was attentive, personable and kind and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. I will certainly be returning again, and this time for a longer stay. I can truthfully say that this was the first actually relaxing vacation I've had in a few years

Beat all expectations!

Did I mention the location? Steamboat Inn couldn’t have been more perfectly situated for our first visit to Mystic! We were able to see the drawbridge from our large windows along with the beautiful river. We parked our car when we arrived and didn’t move it all weekend. We were able to walk to all of the shops and restaurants in town. My husband and I were celebrating a milestone wedding anniversary and the Steamboat Inn was truly perfect for our needs. Breakfast was lovely, the views were amazing, the hotel was quiet, the fireplace was enjoyable, and the staff was friendly. I don’t know what more you could ask for!
