Dollywood Cabins

Wonderful views of the mountains.  Very clean cabin.  The road in the resort was a wonderful paved, two lane and extra wide. It was really cool to sit on your deck and hear the locomotive blow its whistle from Dollywood 

We stayed at the Nature's Nest Cabin at 1928 Legacy Road.  It was amazing.  Very spacious.  Two levels with decks on both levels, porch swing, rocking chairs, hot tub, pool table, air hockey table. The beds and pillows were so comfortable to sleep on.  Our teens took the top floor with the game tables, we took the main floor.  Both floors had a full bathroom.  This cabin is at the top of the mountain and looks directly west giving you the best views of the setting sun.  At night the bats would fly right in front of us. So neat.  The cabin was very very clean. Bring a travel pack of Tide Pods for the washer/dryer.  My only suggestion would be for them to have a charcoal chimney starter for the grill.  We don't use lighter fluid was it was all fun and games trying to get the coals hot.  Overall, I would highly recommend this cabin if you are a family of 4 with teenagers.  We really didn't want to leave.

Incredible views from a nicely kept smaller cabin in Starr Crest.  Looks to be recently updated with new furniture and floors.  Great to be able to get away from the crowds and enjoy some quiet time in your own peaceful retreat.   Played pool and air hockey with the family, while others enjoyed the hot tub.

During COVID19 my Husband and Daughter found an amazing and beautiful way to celebrate my 60th bday in the absolute tranquility of Starr Crest resorts. We had breath taking views in a 2 story cabin with full amenities.

Beautiful resort with THE BEST views. Every cabin had a stunning view and the place was well maintained. The location was absolutely perfect! Far enough away from the hustle and bussel but close enough that it wasn't a hassles to get to town.

Stayed with Outrageous Cabins within this resort located on the mountainside above Dollywood. Great accommodations, nicely stocked kitchen, hot tub, pool table, tremendous views. Only drawback was the fireplace was electric (no problem because I have one) but had no blower so it was just for looks, not heat. Certainly would return here

This cabin was perfect for our family vacation. I would definitely stay at this cabin again! It was clean and the location was close to things to do, restaurants, etc... yet quiet and it felt like you were away from the hustle and bustle. Checking in was easy and convenient. 

We stayed in a cabin. Was absolutely great. TV was not working in media room. We reported it the first night and it was replaced the next day with a new set. Very pleased with everything and would definitely stay there again. In fact, the next time we go to Pigeon Forge, this will be the first place we check.

We stayed in Picture Perfect! The View did not disappoint at all! You can’t really see Dollywood because of tree cover but it’s a perfect view for the fireworks during the Summer.
The cabin was very clean and adequately supplied. The kitchen cook wear is just average. Plenty of glassware and silverware.
The parking is more than adequate for a large group- we had 6 cars at one point.
The game room doubles as a bedroom but the games were just as pictured.

The only con: although the cabin is supposed to sleep 8 the dining table only seats 6. The living room only seats 5! The furniture in these combo rooms is just too large and awkward. It did not lend itself to family gatherings. That part was disappointing.

I had seen reviews of carpenter bees being a problem- we didn’t see one!

Next time - if the whole family wants to go - we’ll look for something larger. Other than that- it was great!

The View is the Best Part!!

I have a mixed review for this one.  We had a very good time here, and the view was probably the best on the mountain.  Wonderful view and nice decks to hang out on!  If this is the most important thing to you this is a great find.

I called several months before our arrival to ask for an allergy cleaning.  We had someone in our party with severe asthma & dust triggers it.  I offered to pay more and they said it was no problem.  I verified again before checking in and they said yes, they did that.  The cabin was actually pretty dirty.  The counters and tables and toilets were clean, but all of the decorations and curtains were super dusty.  The showers were bad enough we went to buy cleaning products to wash them before we used them.  That was disappointing, its not a deal breaker for me but I felt bad for the member of our party with asthma.  

Expect bugs to get in and to be on the decks.  We had a scorpion in our cabin & millipedes and stuff.

There were a few tiles broken in the kitchen which was sort of a trip hazard.

We liked that there were 3 stories and we kind of separated by family, we each had our own space and that was lovely.  The furniture was nice and in good shape.  The hot tub was working and very clean.  Kitchen was very well stocked with dishes and cookware.  The washer and dryer was nice to have.  Wifi worked pretty good.  We enjoyed the games upstairs and the pool table.  

There are carpenter bees messing up the windows (and the views, because of this!) by pooping?  spraying liquid from their burrows? im not sure.  The windows had streaky stuff all over them anyway.

All of our beds had loose headboards that kind of started to fall over so we had to be careful and were trying to fix those every night.  But the beds were comfortable.  The AC worked well and the fans in the room were nice.  We all slept well.

Someone vandalized my husbands car while we were parked there, he had a few $1 bills in his cup holder and I guess that is the reason.  They broke his door handle but didn't get into the car.  I was advised to file a police report.  I would have thought it was a safe area but obviously there is some crime.

We were also charged after we checked out (I think it was $31) with no explanation or notification.  Its really not a huge deal but just left a bad taste in our mouths because we left the cabin in good shape and followed the instructions left to us.  We contacted them before we left about extra trash and they told us to leave it bagged in the kitchen, so we did.  The cabin wasn't left in perfect shape for us to stay in, so nickle and diming us for things that had to be insignificant feels bad.

In general, we had a good week and really appreciated the view and the spacious cabin.  The cleaning standards were sub-par, and we are aware it IS a cabin in the woods so we can deal with nature and bugs.  But they should have dusted the lamp shades and knickknacks.

The staff we spoke with were friendly and helpful.  

I don't regret booking here, but we will not be back because of the housekeeping issues.

Absolute Tranquility Cabin

Gorgeous views!!  Very comfortable!  Nice cabin, very clean.  Easy making reservations and making payments.  There are a few things that need tending to: bathroom on main floor needs a new toilet paper holder.  A blind needs to be put back in the same bathroom.  The floor in the bathroom downstairs is very weak and the toilet wobbles.  All the toilet seats need to be tightened.  Also, !isted as 4 bedrooms.  There is a bed and bathroom upstairs but it's an open loft. That should be put on the listing.

Starr Crest Lodge Cabin

Stayed in Nestled Inn for 3 nights. Had a bit of trouble finding where to go as we booked through Outrageous Cabins which isn’t very well signposted - the office is directly opposite to the Starr Crest entrance. Our cabin was in a cul de sac so very few cars driving down it. Cabin has 2 bedrooms both on different levels. First level has a bedroom, bathroom, the kitchen & living area. Deck has a swing seat & a couple of rocking chairs. Second floor has a bed, bathroom, air hockey table, pool table, gaming table & a hot tub on the deck. 
Views are awesome. Easy driving distance to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg & Smoky Mountains.
Cabin has most things you need, although no kettle for us Brits! BBQ is down where you park & not really big enough for cooking for 4 people. Apart from that it was all good.

Was pleasantly surprised of the clean, nice cabin, after staying in the cabin will never get a hotel again was ideal for people with kids so they had room to run around and privacy and in a great location to attractions and restaurants while still in a quiet setting neighborhood! Can't wait to come back again!

Didn't want to leave...

The cabin was awesome! We stayed in Dancing Bear and it felt like a home away from home. I would much rather stay in a cabin than a hotel room...especially with 3 kids! For the price ($149/night), it was so much better than a hotel. It was nice having the split level...the kids took over the downstairs and we had the main level to ourselves. I also loved the full kitchen, which was nice to have the option to cook family meals instead of eat from a restaurant every night. I would highly recommend Dollywood Cabins to family and friends (and I can't wait to go back myself).FYI...the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
