This place is nothing fancy, but it is immaculate, convenient, and affordable. The property has a BBQ deck, a small yard, and is well-maintained by the actual owners of the property - Stanley and Teresa, who emigrated to Fruita from the mountains of Poland some 25 years ago. 

Really happy to know about this place for trips along the I-70 corridor. If you are looking for a nice place to lay your head, this is the ticket. 

I also got an awesome haircut for $20 at the barber shop across the street - Dapper Cuts. And did I mention the delicious latte at Aspen Street Coffee, just four blocks away?

Travelodges the way they are supposed to be

Good location, a little highway noise, but not too much. The room was clean and comfortable.  A pretty basic hotel, well kept for an older building. It is about 4 blocks from downtown with good restaurant options.

Clean and comfortable

We had a room with two queen beds and they were quite comfortable.  The room was very basic, but was clean.  The one thing I would caution a traveler to check on in the summer is to make ssure there is air conditioning.  We saw no indication of any and it gets very HOT in Fruita in the summer,  Continental breakfast was good.

Old, Basic Motel

I like motels because of being able to drive to my own door. Motels are sadly disappearing. I was thrilled to find this particular motel in Fruita, CO this summer, as a stop over on an annual road trip. I could park right outside my door, easy access to bring in my cooler and other baggage. The room was spotless, new wood floors. Everything looked updated and friendly. Comfortable bed. Tasteful decor. The couple who run the motel are friendly and available. There is a good breakfast offered in the morning, but it is just in the lobby. However, there are benches outside each room and picnic benches on the lawn and in a park just behind the building. This will be an annual visit for me now. Apart from the comfort of this little room, Fruita proved to be an interesting and lovely town and within easy walking distance. I didn't have a lot of time to explore, but it is certainly worth being a destination in its own right some time in the future.

Wholesome Stay

Great place to spend the night.  Clean, great air conditioner, very comfortable with small table, microwave, ref. big coffee pot. Great breakfast is also offered with some fresh fruits,  and a variety of other breakfast options. The owners do take pride in this place.
 I will stay here again if I'm in that area.    Would recommend without hesitation.

Excellent Small Hotel

I booked this accommodation mainly to break a long stop towards Denver. So I needed a little more than a bed to rest spending relatively little. The lady owner who received me was very kind and in less than a minute I had the keys to the room in my hand. The structure consists of 2 simple ground floor buildings with parking space in front of the door of the room.

OK for a break.

We stayed at the H-Motel in Fruita during our visit to the Colorado National Monument and were quite satisfied. The room was simple, but had everything we needed: a comfortable bed, supposedly air conditioning (it was there as described, but I couldn't find the controller. It was also cool enough), a large bathroom, coffee machine, etc. The lady at the reception was also friendly. The only shortcoming would be the lack of the breakfast room - you get your breakfast at the reception and you can eat it in the room. Well, it tasted good too!

A simple but comfortable motel outside the gates of the Colorado National Monument

After what I did at the El Palomino Motel in Grand Junction which I hope you will read if my review is not censored, we had to look for another Motel to spend the night in. It was Saturday and all the Motels were leaking the no vacation sign. The only room I found was the Motel H outside Grand Junction. A very kind lady offered me a rather high price for a Motel but after a short chat we got a deal. The room was a comfortable abstinence but unfortunately the sleep was disturbed by the trumpets of the railroad cars that pass away.

Very pleasant family-run motel, in excellent position for a visit to the Colorado National Monument. The view of the red rocks in the morning is priceless. The owners made us feel warmly welcomed, the room looked good, clean and equipped with everything, with comfortable beds and plenty of clean towels. Breakfast cannot be served in the lobby, but we found it even more pleasant to be outdoors on the tables in the outdoor garden! Recommended.
