Lackawanna Bed & Breakfast

The B&B is in a very quiet and secluded area with a campground just below it. The porch is spacious with lots of rockers, a swing, and benches. The inside woodwork is original with the dining room to the left of the front door and a sitting room to the right. Red and white wine with snacks are offered in a small alcove. The dining room was stocked with coffee and tea as well as some biscotti, chocolate chip, and another wafer type cookie. There were some jars of peanuts, snack mix, sodas, waters, and a few beers in the frig upstairs. There are a few stone steps to get up to the porch, about 5, the front entrance step, and then 18 steps to the second level for people who might have concerns about steps. Coffee by the pot is available at 730 with breakfast being served from 830 to 930, come when you want to. The hot foods are on a sideboard in a buffet warmer. We had fruit the first morning and then croissant French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, and fried potatoes. The second morning was an egg frittata, bacon, a freshly baked blueberry muffin that was huge, fresh orange juice, and iced water in pitchers on the table. Conversation with B&B other guests is always interesting so you tend to linger at the table after eating. Beds were comfy. We stayed in the Rose room which was spacious, had 2 wing chairs, and an old claw foot tub.
