boaters will love the bay dock convenience with fishing right off your units  quick walk across to the beautiful beach with showers convenient to rinse before returning for a dip in the pool.  no elevator, so stairs to arrive and depart carrying stuff is not simple but manageable   friendly groups and staff

Sorry to see the 1*  review. We agree with some points. It would be nice to have a towel change-Don't think I should have to wash towels on my vacation, especially when the washer/dryer cost $3.00.  True  the unit was not as clean as I would like it, so I did buy some bacterial spray at the $1.00 store, nearby.  I still

Nice place to stay near the ocean

The location was the best. The accommodations were fine for me but I'm sure they will leave others with a bit to be desired. Must do stairs, no washer and dryer in unit, when really need one when you're by beach. In no hurry to fix appliances. Staff could be more welcoming and accommodating.   

GREAT LOCATION

Fabulous location, great pool & spa, management is friendly. Bikes for borrowing, playground a few blocks away. Fishing docks available so we were able to bring our kayaks. We hope to return again!

I’m befuddled by the excellent reviews. Englewood has beautiful beaches and is a nice area, but the Beach and Yacht Club should be condemned. We spent our first half day buying disinfectant cleaning materials and giving the unit a thorough scrubbing after the attendant came with a Swiffer mop in response to our discovering the filth. The floors were still disgusting after she gave it a quick once over using a single disposable sheet. The freezer leaked constantly into the refrigerated section so we had to keep towels in there — they said it was defrosting — and the ice maker only produced one fat icicle the entire time we were there. The towels and linens are ages old and threadbare, and I don’t think the bedspread has ever been laundered. There is no sealant around the front door and the ceiling texture is crumbling. They haven’t invested any money into the units and there is no incentive for them to do so since they have people stuck in timeshare contract hell. Let me add that I am not an owner so I have no grudge about having invested here. Add to this that about 100 yards away is a bar with outdoor bands who play into the night. Yes, the plural “bands” was intentional as they will have more than one band playing on occasion. It is so loud you can’t have a conversation on the deck of your unit, and you can forget sleeping until they wind down for the evening. They have adult bikes with helmets you are able to use from 9:00am until 4:00pm — the warmest part of the day — but you’ll need to provide your own lock, and a coin op laundry on the premises, not laundry service as noted in their amenities. I have no problem staying somewhere that is outdated, but somebody should call in a health inspector for this place! 

Don’t see how it could be worse

Our little apartment was nice.  It is a little outdated but comfortable.  We had a nice balcony on the bay side. It was nice to sit out there in the evening and hear the music from the restaurants down the road.  Dishes were sparse so if you wanted to cook a lot, you didn't have much to work with, but we managed.   
We really loved the location.  Our only downfall was the people downstairs smoking on the balcony and the smoke coming up to us.  The units are nonsmoking but people can smoke outside.  I don't feel a screened in area as outside.  Coming from a basic non-smoking state and a non-smoker myself, I didn't care for that.  It was strange to see people smoking in the restaurant patios too.  
Everything was nice and clean.

This was our first visit, but definitely not our last! 
Lovely place! Home like rooms offering just what you need. Beautiful pool and hot tub, plenty of parking and wonderful employees. The beach is gorgeous and the area is clean, safe and fun!

Quaint

Unit needed repairs, paint and upgrades. Dishes weren't clean. the best part was the location. Bed needed new mattress. The staff needed to check behind to see if all the frying pans and pots were clean. We washed every thing before using.

We were extremely disapointed on arrival as the facility is extremely dated and needs a major overhaul.  It has great potential but.....
We enjoyed our spacious unit on the top floor & great view of the bay.

As time share owners we traded a week to stay at this resort but will not return.

The hotel has two sections; one is on the beach and the other is across the street. It has a pool and a hot tub. The hotel is quiet and everyone seemed to be going their own way. We will definitely stay here again in the future.
