Golden Umbrella Bed and Breakfast

For our 3-night weekend exploration of Fairbanks and vicinity, June and Ping’s home was conveniently located in a wooded neighborhood off the Steese Hwy just a few miles north of Fairbanks. Shoes are left at the front door. A small common area for guests is located near the dining room. Our spacious bedroom and en-suite looked out on the backyard. Guests, staying in the two rooms on the opposite side of our hallway, shared a bathroom on our side of the hall. Within our large walk-in closet were robes, so I suspect the same courtesy was available to the other guests. June served a warm breakfast at 8am. Alternatively, juice, cereal, and hot beverages were also available in the kitchen for guests needing to slip out of the house sooner. We were compelled to leave early when departing Fairbanks, yet in anticipation of our departure, June prepared fried egg sandwiches on raisin bread. Delicious!
