2 reviewsOur stay exceeded our expectations. We arrived a bit early, and the desk person went to see if a room was ready and found one for us. All staff and services were very good. Our room was clean and cool (on a VERY hot day.) There was a fridge and microwave and coffee maker, although coffee with flavored creamers are available each morning in the lobby. We had planned to visit Fort Bridger after lunch, but when the front desk told us about the Evanston Greenway on the Bear River, we opted to go for a bike ride, instead. We were glad we did. There is a nice restaurant in the hotel with a cowboy bar theme. We played some pool, chatted with the owners and bartenders, and tried some new drinks. The chef/cook even came to our table as we were eating to make sure everything was good. We were treated like family. I challenge anyone to find a better experience in an older hotel than the experience we had on our one-night stay. It’s not a 5-star kinda place, but what they do to make an older hotel nice is pretty phenomenal. We plan to go back, even though we only live an hour away.
