Nice cabin in a remote area. Staff was nice and helpful. Cabin was clean and worked out well for our family. My only recommendation would be for updated outdoor furniture.
Would recommend.

This is our 3rd time to stay at Ponderosa. Katie, Darrell and Jaron are fabulous and will make you feel welcome! The rooms are clean and the rates reasonable. I loved listening to the creek running by the lodge. If you’re looking for rustic and cozy Ponderosa is the place to be!

I'm a sleep snob, and Ponderosa Lodge was amazing!! The bed was great and the views were incredible. They even provide a standing fan,  so you know I was thrilled! And Fall River was literally off the balcony! Aspen was the best little guard dog. We will be back. Hands down. No questions. Highly recommend Ponderosa Lodge.

When you're booking online, you cannot always be sure the photos and reviews are real or accurate.  Ponderosa did not disappoint!  Picturesque, the room amenities are exactly what you would need including coffee, TV, shampoo/cond and the view from our deck to the river was amazing. Our room had a wood burning fireplace and they had it stocked with wood, kindling, newspaper and matches.  Not to mention the sounds of the river, chairs on the deck and a seated hammock, so peaceful.  Loved the room, the area and the staff!!  There's a great walkway along the road so you can walk to other lodges or down to the Wapiti restaurant, like we did, safely.  Will definitely be back to stay here again and do more adventuring and hiking.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Ponderosa. The Hosts are absolutely wonderful very attentive. They are super friendly and love to just chat with their guests as well as go above and beyond to help them. The property is absolutely beautiful with a lovely little stream that passes right by it. Our favorite part of our stay was being able to open our porch door and just listen to the stream while enjoying a fire in the fireplace. Not enough good things to say about how much we enjoyed our stay. When we had to cut our stay a day short due to things back home they were more than willing to accommodate a refund for the night that we were missing even when we told them we weren't expecting it. We thought that we would just have to eat the cost but no the GM was able to assist us with getting that last night refunded. We will definitely be staying with the Ponderosa Lodge again in the future.

Perfect spot for a weekend getaway. Hottub was great and loved the porch swings! The cookies everyday in the office were a nice touch. Can't wait to come back!

Our stay at the Ponderosa was everything we wanted it to be. The balcony overlooking the river was amazing. The bed was super comfortable. There was plenty of room to store our luggage. The coffee was delicious. The price was within our budget. We in Broomfield, but needed the mountains and the river to soothe our nervous systems. It was perfect.

Stayed one night. Staff was friendly and it’s a very cozy spot next to the river. Got to use the hot tube which was very relaxing with the sound of the river. The room itself was practical and was perfect for 1 adult and 2 kids. We used the wood burning fireplace and they also provided the wood. There is a playground and grilling area which in warmer weather would be a nice perk. Parking is tight but do able. Not the fanciest place/room up there but for the price I paid I would definitely go again.PS: the kids liked the dog “Aspen”

Beautiful setting, friendly staff, nice accommodations. Convenient to both town and the park.

Arrived late and got the keys via late checkout. The lodge was really cozy and comfortable, enjoyed the fireplace. Really good place to stay and highly recommend!

Nestled in the Woods but close enough to town

The Ponderosa was amazing.  We enjoyed the hot tub and the privacy.  The room was clean and cozy.  The fireplace was wonderful.  The host was very friendly and helpful.  The cookies were a pleasant surprise.  The drive to town was easy and also to the Rocky Mountain National Park.  We loved this place and hope to return soon.

The property was nice and the room was good, pretty much what you would expect for a mountain lodge, with parking close to the rooms.  It's great that there is a moving stream off the balcony but the road is directly on the other side of it so you do see and hear vehicles going by from the balcony (road leads to entrance of Rocky Mtn National Park).  It's still nice to listen to the water though.  As far as the room, it was clean but there was a little mildew on the shower curtain; there is no A/C, only heat, but there is a fan which was helpful; the sink/stove and fridge seem to be all one piece and the fridge didn't work so there was another one in the corner of the closet which was a little awkward but worked.  There were dishes, utensils, coffee and coffee maker, toaster, pots and pans, etc.  We didn't use it but there is a nice wood fireplace in the room.  If you have several devices to plug in, I suggest bringing your own multi-plug cord.  The staff was so nice and Aspen the dog was so cute and friendly.  There were also fresh cookies throughout the day in the office for a nice treat!  Overall it was a nice place to stay, especially if you want to be close to the park.

Our room was right in the brook, with a balcony overlooking the water. Our room was clean and comfortable. Everyone at the lodge was so helpful and so nice. We got in late. And the checkin was so easy! Would definitely stay here again. It was also super close to the park and downtown! Right in the middle between the two, so you didn't have to drive through the downtown traffic to get to the park. There were still restaurants in walking distance. Such a great, peaceful spot!

Great place!

My 70 year old mother and I enjoyed our stay at Ponderosa Lodge. While a bit stuffy in the afternoons when we returned (daytime highs were near 90), the awesome fans they had in the room cooled it down quickly. I enjoyed sleeping with the window open at night. We had a kitchenette suite and it was so helpful to be able to cook on the stovetop in the room. The sleeper sofa was incredibly comfortable, as was the bed. Very clean with a nice staff. Will stay again.

We loved the Ponderosa Lodge! Highly recommended! We absolutely loved the location, so close to the entrance of RMNP. Staff was amazing and very personable (even gave us tips where to see wildlife)! Very quiet and relaxing, just what we were looking for! We will definitely stay again when back in Estes Park!
