Solitude Cabins

We brought our 2 grown kids for a 5-day stay. The cabin was spacious for the 4 of us and we loved having an actual usable kitchen and a living room area to relax in in the evenings. (one of the main reasons for booking as a "hotel" room does not very often allow for that) The deck and grill were nice to have at our disposal as well. We had an issue with the CO2 detector going off our first evening but that was only due to bad batteries. Once batteries were replaced, no problem. The cabin did not have air conditioning but management came through with window fans for us after reporting the fans in the unit were very noisy and not the greatest. After the window fans showed up, and with the use of the whole house fan, the ceiling fans (plus the 2 small fans we had brought with us knowing there was not air conditioning), the cabin was pleasant. Our last 2 days were a bit cooler outside as well which helped. Were not able to use our hot tub reservations due to rain/lightning in the evenings when we had booked it. Location is not far away from the hustle/bustle of the downtown area but far enough to feel the "Solitude". Overall, a very pleasant stay and wouldn't hesitate to do so again.
