Staff VERY friendly and accommodating. Comfortable beds. Nice soap & shampoo & lotion. Air conditioner quiet and comfortable

Staff at Elk Inn gracious and friendly, extra pillows provided for spouse as requested. We were moved to another room as TV in original room was not working, room change was fine. Very quiet area. Local restaurant recommendation by staff for dinner was great.    Accommodation price very reasonable, easy access to major highways and interstates, gas, restaurants, etc

This hotel was our saving grace. Our car broke down 50 miles from where we were suppose to stay.  The gentleman was very friendly and had a room left.  The next day while waiting forever for the AAA tow truck; he let us sit in the parking lot with the car while we waited. The hotel is very quaint and cute; just right for a small town.

Def a hotel you can sleep peacefully in. Staff is friendly and clean. It provided what I needed for the weekend and would return

Me and kids stayed here for one night. The office stuff was very nice and helpful. The bed was a little hard but I have back problems so that don’t help. Overall it’s was a great stay and we enjoyed it. If we’re even back in the area we’ll definitely stay here again.

Elk Inn great value.

Praise God, we found shelter!!

Being an older property we didn't have high expectations. The room was quite clean, good shower, beds were decent. We were just looking for a place to layover, nothing more and it met that need.If you do stay I suggest asking for the second floor. We stayed on the 1st floor and Lurch above was walking heavy-footed. It wasn't excessive and didn't last too olong into the night but it could have been quieter if we weren't below someone. I would stay again for the cost and connivence.

We needed a smoking and most of them are on second floor. Being a senior with back problems I needed downstairs. I called when I made a reservation and the gentleman said he would give me a certain room number that was downstairs and smoking. I was worried it wouldn't happen but sure enough when we got there he did what he said.

Room promised was given!

This was a nice, serviceable hotel. My son and i spent two nights, the rooms were clean, quiet and the smoke-free room we requested was truly smoke-free. The owners were very accommodating about a late check-in, a first floor room and providingthe little extras we needed. The refrigerator  had a seperate freezer; which we needed. There was a microwave  and the best water pressure I've ever had at a hotel! This is not part of a huge, luxurious chain with pools; workout rooms, free breakfasts etc. Thus is a pleasant, clean, quiet and inexpensive place to spend the night. We  will stay there again when in the area.

Will stay again

The room was clean and in good shape except the hot water in the bathtub apparydoesnt turn off. So opening the door the room was hot and everything was damp including the bed and pillows. I turned the air on and closed the bathroom door so we didn’t have the sound of the water running all night and this morning everything in bathroom is damp.  I was only here one night picking up daughter and granddaughter to take them back to St. Louis area, so we were tired and just dealt with it.

Wet room

Check in was efficient and courteous.My king room was spacious, clean and the bed comfortable.Bathroom was clean, well-supplied, and large.TV worked fine; didn't use the AC.Microwave and mini fridge are always a plus for me.The working of the lights was a little funky, but I managed to figure it out. There is a Pizza Hut practically next door and a very good Mexican restaurant  less than a 5 minute walk away.It's worth the few minutes away from the interstate.This is a very good no frills accommodation well worth the money.

It worked for me

Older family run hotel with the basics. Clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and accommodating.

Will make this a regular stop hotel when transiting the area.  Plan on staying there on my return trip
