I stayed here last week due to an unexpected family emergency. In such a hectic time I was greeted by a very nice young lady at the front desk. I explained my concerns with my daughter’s asthma and rooms that may smell like smoke. The young lady made it her duty to find the perfect room for us. I want to take the time to thank the staff at econo lonuge for a pleasant un expected stay. The room was clean and breakfast saved my family money.

We (a married couple) stayed for one night in this hotel.  The hotel is conveniently located right off the highway and across the street from a great pho restaurant. However, the first room we were offered had an overpowering musty odor.  We were moved to another room on the second floor, almost right above the original room. This room had a hint of must, but nothing like the first one! The tiles in the bathroom were broken, the pillows were flat, and the bedding was threadbare and obviously very worn. Whatever-- I'm not picky. 
Then at night, the entire complex (which had been almost deserted during the day) came alive with shouting and loud beeping horns (including many people going in and out of the room with the jacuzzi). My husband saw a woman thrown out of someone's car in the parking lot; the person then proceeded to screech out of the lot at top speed. The police followed shortly after. Not a great area; we were unable to sleep with all the commotion. I doubt sleep was on the mind of many other guests. So this place is fine for partying, not so great for just getting a good night's sleep!

Not great for sleeping... Pay a little more to stay elsewhere!

We stayed here for one night on a trip.  It was fine.  The place should have been cleaned better, and the towels were pretty threadbare.  Even though I didn’t pay a luxury price, I feel cleaning is not a luxury item.  Also, WiFi was spotty, but it did sort of work.

I booked through Priceline and the troubles were never ending.

The room doesn't have the air conditioning on and the refrigerator in the room is unplugged.

The wifi doesn't work, no matter how much I tried I had to use my phone as a hotspot as I couldn't even check email.  They say free wifi but they mean no actual internet access.

There are many holes and threadbare sections of the blankets, sheets, and pillowcases.  Many pictures.

The mattresses are over 20 years old and they feel terrible.  Most hotels don't keep mattresses half this long, and no reputable establishment, even a budget one, would keep them this long.

The toilet leaks polluted water from the basin and when you flush it, this is not potable water from the supply lines but instead from human waste infused water.

Children living in the subsidized housing behind the motel fire off fireworks (not in July).  They also have loud music playing and all sorts of unsupervised activity of young children well into 11PM at night.

The grounds have trash throughout the walkways, I found used condoms and hypodermic needles on the premises.  Pictures are provided for some of this.

The AC smells like mildew and cigarette smoke, even in a non-smoking room.  The smell sticks on you and your clothing so when you leave this motel you still wreak of it.

My feet turned black walking on the floor (even after housekeeping came through), and later my socks turned black.

You don't want to know what bodily fluid stains I found when I took out my black light on first check in.

This entire motel runs on a philosophy that there is no corner they will not cut to save some money.  Everything I have reported above shows lack of proper maintenance, leaving deteriorated materials that need replacement in place instead of repairing them.  I interacted with the management/owners on a limited basis and they have the mindset the customer is an inconvenience and anything they promised is negotiable as long as they can save money by not actually providing it.

Don't stay here, even if they offer you an hourly rate.

If you insist on staying here then 1) bring your own linens and mattress; 2) wear boots at all times, even in the shower to avoid the dirty floors and the leaking toilet water; 3) try not to breath the air as it smells of mildew and cigarettes; 4) don't expect any of the included items - anything you get is a stroke of luck.

Misery Motel: condoms, trash, holes, 30yr old mattress, and fireworks.

Drive 6 hours  , finally to get a  checked in a mad house. 528 am and music is loud coming from 2 rooms. Call the office they won't answer. Have not been able to sleep. We had ask front desk put us in a quiet area. And he puts us in area that seems they are residents. He even call me 20 mintoes to inform me he was cancelling my room because he was over booked when I had confirmed my room 4 days ago. Don't come here! Rude! Lack of customers service. Shame on choice hotels! Wrong choice!

Disgusting mas House

Horrible!!! Sooooo dirty!!!! This motel was disgusting, bug invested, old run down rooms, blankets looked and smelled like they were 100 years old. The room stunk like mold, you couldn't pay me to walk around nare foot I would be afraid I would catch some sorta disea. I wouldn't be surprised if somebody hasn't already!

Awful!

Huge soft spot right in the floor right in front of the bathroom door, bad enough we thought we'd fall through if we didn't walk carefully. Anytime anyone flushed am toilet, you could hear the water pipes creaking and groaning...ALL NIGHT LONG and VERY LOUDLY.  The pillows were flat, fridge and microwave were unplugged. Could have been cleaner.

Worst Hotel I've Been at in Forever!

Was planning to stay at the Econo Lodge on a trip to see my son in Hartford. On my way to the motel, I realized their confirmation letter had made a mistake. It said my booking was for the 20th of April and it was the 28th. I called and asked if I could switch my payment to the 28th and they said no. Later, I realized that my credit card hasn't been charged till the 21st so why would I have made a mistake for the 20th It smelled of bad business to me.

But, they were still the cheapest place in town so I paid for another room. Not very clean. Smelled of smoke even though I asked for non-smoking. Cigarette butt in the toilet. Bath stopper didn't work. Broken blinds. Flashing clock. Loud parking lot and Highway.

Thankfully I found another place to stay and didn't even try to sleep there.

And for this I paid twice?

Dirty disgusting and homeless people.  Beware unhelpful staff. We had to stay in smoking manager said he couldn't change room. Homeless people wandering around.  Junk cars with flat tires.  Bathroom door kicked in and never repaired.  Refrigerator looks like it's from a war zone 

Never stay here

They will give you roaches ! This hotel is disgusting and the receptionist is even worse . Will steal your money off your card and you must sleep in a roach infested room with a jail cell bathroom no rags or shower curtain. MOLD in mini fridge
