The location was good for a last minute night over due to college changes from Covid.  Location is a bit older but still comfortable

bit dated

Disrepair is one thing, but dirtiness is another. Unvacuumed carpet, dirt & bugs in window sills, shower drain didn't work- still 3 inches of water in tub 12 hours later. No coffee maker or fridge in room or "lobby" a/c so noisy we had to shut it off at night to sleep. The mgr is very nice and polite, but the property is so rundown and room so dirty, that I recommend paying twice the price to stay somewhere else.

It was clean, quiet, and quite spacious.  My daughter and I found the beds to be quite comfortable.  Water pressure in the shower was great!  The owners were very friendly and helpful.

Nice place for an overnight trip!

The property was a smelly mess! Feces were in the toilet, the bath tub was painted and the paint was chipping, the few rooms that appeared to be rented out were to creatures that lived there. It was scary and terrible that I couldn’t even stay there. They charged my card for the few days and would not return the money. I’m a traveling nurse and the sudden inconvenience of trying to find another safe place to stay late at night was a bit overwhelming.

The Dunkirk Motel is conveniently located, the price is economical, the rooms are spacious and immaculately clean, and are equipped with fridge, microwave, office space, and flat-screen TV, and parking is available at your door.  No breakfast, no coffee machine in the room, but there is a Tim Horton's right sown the street.  The hostess is friendly, thoughtful, and helpful.  To be honest, the property could use some updating, but for a quick overnight in Fredonia, (the campus is 5 minutes away) it was comfortable, clean, and more than adequate!

Traveling late in an area we had not traveled before...took a chance and dropped in. Front door was locked but had a telephone number to call... VERY nice manager finally came to the door....85 dollars! We took it... it was "clean" .. two beds... television...microwave and refrigerator... bathroom did not have an electrical plug in it...soap and shampoo were small and in little packets....towels were threadbare and bath mat was so threadbare you could see through it...hot water was non-existent...warm water was sporadic .... took meds for sleep and tried not to worry about any creepy crawly bugs....wish I had kept driving...didn't know there was a Clarion right down the road ...(my smart phone had died and so I couldn't Google anything...just had my husband's flip phone to make the call to get into the motel...)...

Took a Chance...

Ok, So first off, I will say this place was a HUGE massive dump. We were terrified of bugs the night we stayed, there were several refrigerators unplugged and taped shut in the "suite". Odd end tables scattered haphazardly everywhere and not much around for food and fun.The picture in the phone book of the rooms were hilarious, as they must have renovated 1 room and took pictures of that one to advertise.(we cut it out and kept it) I will close with saying my cousin and I still laugh hysterically from our chance stay at the dunkirk motel, and do plan on making a trip as grown adults in the future, in the hopes of more laughs. Make your trip here a fun one, dont worry, cockroaches dont bite....

10 years later

Whole place smells of a combination of raw sewage and insecticide. Toilet leaking brown water on bathroom floor. Filth and grime in every nook and cranny. Almost no water pressure in shower. Water from shower and sink smells rancid. This place is a health hazard and should be shut down by the Health Department. Sleep in your car or even on the street before you stay here!

This place should be condemned.

I decided to stay at this motel with my family ultimately because of the great price. Also, I drove all the way from Virginia to see Niagara Falls which was not too far away. What I appreciated the most is the service and welcoming atmosphere the manager and others from the motel gave to my family. As soon as we checked in our family was treated to complementary water bottles. Although the room could use a bit of an upgrade, the overall experience I have gained in the four day stay was phenomenal.

Comforting atmosphere

WE WERE NOT IMPRESSED WITH THIS PLACE AT ALL.  The toilet rocked when you sat on it.  No hot water for at least 4 minutes.  Broken/dirty caulking around the tub.  Bathroom door wouldn't shut tight.  Went and bought cleaning supplies before we would use the shower.  Bought fabreeze to spray and air fresheners too.  We pulled in from going to the store and the girl next door, scantly clothed, opened up her door.  I guess she thought we were her next "guest" for the hour.  The door between the two rooms wouldn't lock.  They had a desk in front of the door....No breakfast unless they had 5 guest.  I wouldn't dare eat anything from there anyway.  GO SOMEPLACE else.  Unfortunately no other rooms were available in the area for one night for us.  OH MY.  I wish I had taken pictures.  I guess we have made two trips there... OUR FIRST and OUR LAST.
