Miles, Glenn, and the entire bar staff are top notch!!!

Pleasanty surprised. Bar and food available after a long drive leaving the Tampa area before the hurricane. Staff friendly, rooms were available so very thankful.

The staff was excellent given that the place was completely booked with people getting out of the way of hurricane Helina. Very friendly and accommodating.

The front desk lady that checked me in was extremely helpful & very nice

Loads of character….. Love this kind of spot!  A quaint non-chain hotel, awesome friendly staff willing to make your stay worthwhile.   This was a random check-in for us during our travel as our two nights nearby fell through.  Eclectic decor of golf and family memorabilia from over the years,  good food on the simple menu in the little pub.  Most expensive thing on the menu $9 for the burger.   Great for light meal.   We had our clubs with us so played some golf on a beautifully laid out course.  In need of some TLC on greens and fairways but you can see the team is working to bring the course to life.  The practice range is fabulous.   The rooms basic with comfortable beds, nice and clean.    Best value for money paid !!!!

Fun and entertaining. Go to place when I am in Dothan

Slept like a rock here.  made a $79 offseason 2nd floor, southern motel rate - but upgraded + $10 to ground on arrival and backed car up to room!  its a safe motel - since its not in a downtown area, but 2 miles south of the dothan beltway in the country.  bring your clubs !  on 10pm arrival I thought I missed the evening driving range - wrong!  open to 1-2am depending. spent the next 2 hours on the range !   they have a state of the art automated Callaway assisted outdoor range pointed away from the lot and hotel with each lane having a dual monitor system for virtual golf AND/OR stats on every swing and hit. AND seating for friends.  AND a full, cheap bar with southern-hospitality staff.  AND $10/20/30 for balls to share with group with nothing extra for the automation.  Im  from C.FL im used to burnt courses and this one had a couple of hazzards, but it was just something to play around every 3 holes it seemed - but overall it was fine, and a cheap way to play on a Nickolas designed, prior PGA tour stop.  I was happy to pay half the TJ costs and relax with great staff. on the automation each shot has time, club used, flat carry, total yds, ball speed, launch, height, landing degrees, curve, offline with a visual of the range showing groupings by club, sorting each category.  I learned more about my swing and clubs in 2 small baskets than ive known my whole life.  was perfect timing because I was late leaving waiting on my new taylor made irons to take there.  We were in town supporting the Scottish Highland Games, now in Daleville, and with the great experience here we will add DN to our preferred hotel/motel spot and socialize in a lane with other MacDhuibh family clan members and friends to congregate as they arrive.  Golfed both mornings and had a great time!  pics of range below. BTW - they were doubling the number of lanes the weekend we were there.  its a great  setup.  a huge feature not discussed on other reviews - newer feature.  room wasnt JW Marriott but it had essentials, it was quiet, and thankfully it doesnt allow smelly dogs and/or smoking in the rooms.  This old PGA stop is the true south by God's Grace.  The staff is great !

Hidden GEM….with character

The hotel was good, and the golf course was in good shape and had a nice layout. the price on expedia was not the same at the hotel, when i went to pay. It isn't the first time i have used this service and had that experience or the hotel was terrible condition. I think you should personally have employees inspect these facilities. The experiance was good overall.

I gotta correct the record - Dothan National is a good value GEM + has a top tracer automated range now ! 

I've stayed at this location years ago as well as this past weekend. The staff is great. The restaurant is great. The bar onsite is a plus. We really enjoyed our little getaway. The only negative is the age although it is obvious they are addressing this with current remodeling. This did not effect our stay and will not prevent us from returning. All in all, we give them a 👍.

We stayed here for 1 night on the way to the beach. The location was great, it was right off of the main road and near downtown Dothan. The check-in was quick and easy and the service was great. Also, the rooms were very spacious.The walls were very thin and we could hear everybody walking around outside. Also, there was no lock on the door; luckily it stayed locked from the outside, still a little different that there was no lock. For the price, location, and convenience, I would definitely stay here again.

Overnight stay

Miles took great care of us, getting us checked in quickly and smoothly. Our room, as always, was just fine. It's not a big fancy chain hotel but it is clean and safe! My family has been staying here on our way to Florida for  30 plus years. We love the hot mineral spring spa. It's why we come here! Ms. Jessie is always sweet too! Love the Dothan National!

Good night's sleep for a great rate

The hotel definitely had some history. It was absolutely beautiful inside. The rooms are plenty big and as all the amenities you could ask for. The staff checking in were extremely humble. It will be definitely where I'll stay anytime I visit Dothan Motorsports Park. Please do not allow the outside fool you. It's awesome to see someone keep history alive.

We booked this for a stopover on the way back from PCB.We left a night early and called to let them know we were coming in. Jeff turned on air conditioner and T.V. To golf channel prior to us arriving so late at night.

We actually got a tour of golf course and hotel room from Ken prior to booking. 

If you want state if the art and modern with full blown amenities and entertainment for the kids, then this isn’t for you. Don’t stay here.

But if you like playing golf with an older, male, clientele and drinking in the pro shop with friendly staff who go out of their way....This is your place. 

The outside  pool is huge and they have a hot mineral pool inside. I was told that they close these at 7:00 pm though. Which to me is bit early. 

The decor of the main building is circa early 1960’s antebellum style. Rooms are similar to this era. But they were clean. I did not see any roaches. 

Whatever you do..Don’t miss seeing and (and feeding peanuts and crackers) to the cute Fox Squirrels  That sit straight up on the golf course.

They offer breakfast which is a variety of sugar laden sweets like honey buns and oatmeal and cereal and small cakes with coffee.
They do offer dine in which is pretty good as well. 

We just have passed this place on the way down to PCB twenty times and finally stopped in a for a visit. I’m glad we did because we are planning another trip down to stay exclusively at this hotel for a golfing/pool trip.

Great Old hotel and friendly staff.

This is the second time my wife and I have visited Dothan International Hotel the rooms are pleasant clean and very reasonable we will stay anytime we are traveling in the area and  I would recommend  Dothan International to anyone thanks for your hospitality ( former B&B owner)     P.S. All rooms are non smoking

Plesant find

I was in the area to work Hurricane damage for several weeks.   Dothan National was booked when I first got to the area and now I know why.   It is very popular with locals and seasonal workers for good reason, it’s Very clean, Well maintained, well managed, quiet and has a good golf course.  It also has a Great bar and grill....$2.50 for a 12 oz....all day baby!  Staff is very personable and sharp.  I was a member at Club in Big D, that said, both of these guys are Country Club Management material.   

Rooms have a original historic feel and are very comfortable and clean.  

Main building has several large rooms that fit the bill for group meetings and events. (Will post some pics).  Great spot for a long term Disaster Ops HQ.   

Golf course, traditional layout, great flow and bones.  This course could be Really Really Good with a minimal changes to greens, bunkers and pathways.   I would not change hole layout at all.   Fairway flow is really good.   This course could become Great option for RTJ players.  

I Really like this place.  If the Fam and I need a stop over....I will call here.
