Lost Pines RV Park

this hotel/resort was really nice and was very helpful; this is a great place to hangout with friends or be with the family. There is a water park a good area to go horse back riding and there are nice hiking trails.

Sam and Victor are great hosts! With reasonable rates and easy access to Bastrop and Austin, it's the place to be! We moved in when the park first opened and have been here ever since .. 16 months! The park offers on-sight laundry facilities and showers. Several cabins are available for those travelling without an RV. Moving here to be close to family, but not in the city, has been the best choice we could have made.

Best RV Park near Bastrop

Summer Vacation

We wanted to try the "new" park near Bastrop for a change instead of Highway 71 RV park.  This park was more expensive and while they had paved roads and sites, many of the sites were tilted far too much to level out.   There were too many pull through sites which were used as double back ins and not enough showers, washers and dryers to handle the number of people.  On the positive side the lady at the desk was helpful and the people staying there were nice.  The park was just outside of Bastrop on Highway 71 toward Austin. We will not stay here again.

New Park But Too Many Slanted Sites

We booked this place through booking.com and needed just one night with two families with children to get to the next place. Arriving at the RV park we had to wait for the office to open. No big deal as the sun was shining and we had time. Then it turned out they only had one room of the three we had booked. It was a "they say-they say" discussion between booking.com and the owner of the RV park - who is apparently not really sending e-mails to his administration desk office. After some good work of the lady at the desk she managed to get us two rooms. We decided to take it. Coming back from an afternoon short trip we found out the second room was not available as there was no cleaning crew and the room was trashed. We got our money back but could not stay in one room with so many people. As the owner of the RV park did not respond to any phone calls and did not want to help us out we managed to get help from booking.com who, after many phone calls, saved our weekend!

Nice place but terrible management

Stayed in this place for a week. Is nothing like its web site. Many permanent people. Run down trailers. Junk everywhere. Kids running around in dirty diapers. Bathrooms nasty. Terrible. The worst I have stayed at in 20 years of RVing. You are much better off in a Walmart parking lot and safer as well.
