Very comfortable place. I have stayed here many times and would recommend it.

Clean, easy to get in and out. Close to Wisp Resort. Good home made bakery.

The space worked well for us.  Like that the sink is separate from the bathroom with toilet and bath.  Means I could be brushing my teeth while my travel companion was in the bathroom.

Beds were comfortable, food/dining service was amazing for both of us

I always stay here for the event I attend. All the facilities are  great - they even added a small refrigerator this year to the room. Very clean. My only delay was checking in. They were short staffed and I had to wait about 10 minutes to get a clerk to check me in as she was working at another station in the restaurant.

Very nice out of the beaten path. Quiet location and clean little town!

Only three rooms are actually in the “historic inn” - the remaining rooms are in a separate older two-story motel. While they are clean and acceptable, the listing in Expedia implies the rooms are in the “historic inn” structure itself.  Food and staff were fine, but the experience was disappointing.

I stayed here for one night on my way East.  I picked the motel instead of the Inn as I wanted a shower but the old Inn only has tubs.  I had to check in at the Inn, but had to wait until the lady was done tending to diners in the restaurant.  The wind from the hurricane was fierce so I was glad that I got to park right at the door to my room.  There was only an overhead light and a table lamp.  There was a nice lighting over the sink however.  The shower was fine and the room was clean and tidy.  I slept OK but he bed was very small.  I had breakfast in the dining room of the Inn and it was great.

Bare Bones But OK

my husband and I were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and it was so relaxing and peaceful, everyone was so friendly and pleasant at the Inn and we enjoyed the simplicity we did what we wanted and didn't stress on having to be here or there at a certain time and the historical sites and history of the area took us back in time to when we were little visiting our grandparents who used and had many of the household items/furniture we saw   it was an awesome weekend for us and we were truly Blessed

A little dated, heating/cooling unit effective but dated and noisy because it ran the blower (noisy even on low setting)  when it was in neutral mode, cool or warm air. We shut it off to sleep. Positive notes, the shower was worthy of inclusion into the Seinfeld episode with Kramer and Newman obsessing about shower heads and overall shower experiences. Though nothing fancy in appearance the shower head's dynamics and overall experience was top tier. I had been suffering with chronic back pain at the time, the water pressure, heat and intensity were so good I took 3 showers in a 1 night stay, addictively therapeutic! Also the room was spotlessly clean and had an old school heater built into the bathroom fan making Sauna like conditions available in the bathroom. Definitely the best part of the room overall. Very quiet little town as well, so sleep was pretty good. Just an old school kinda room at a pretty fair price. $75 fees

We enjoyed our one night stay, while attending a nearby event in Meyersdale,PA. Interesting historical property!  Beds were not too firm and floors didn't have carpeting. No smoke or mildew odors. It was quiet.Dined at the restaurant on location for dinner then for breakfast in the morning. They offer buffets both times but we ordered from the menu. Loved their applebutter! Small gift shop too.

Will visit again!

A clean and comfortable motel in a small town in the mountains of Maryland.  Not much to do in town, but there is a quant Pennsylvania Dutch artisan craft village a two minute drive away that is worth a look. The restaurant in the main house serves good home cooked food at reasonable prices and the baked goods are delicious.

A good stopover stay.

We have stayed here multiple times before and is one of 2 hotels we will stay at when visiting family. The only reason we stay at the other place is proximity to my family. This is a great hotel, staff is friendly and kind and you are able to check in at anytime! Also affordable and clean. Will always be one of the locations we stay at.

We went for dinner and enjoyed the meal. We had the crab soup to start which was excellent.

For mains we had the meatloaf which you don’t see on a menu very often and it was excellent with a side of mashed potatoes. Unfortunately the brown gravy left a lot to be desired. Side salad was excellent.

Nice dining room with plenty of atmosphere.

Good for dinner

We stayed at the Casselman Motel for one night. It was clean and quiet, and a bit old school, which was fun.  When making the reservation, we requested a refrigerator in the room and it was there when we arrived. Staff was pleasant.    Property is located just off of Interstate 68, so it is convenient to get to. Wish we could have had a meal in the hotel restaurant .  We will definitely consider staying here again when next in the area.
