I was just roaming the north Georgia mountains, and one night landed me in Cornelia. I decided to give Skyland a shot. The staff was fantastic! This isn't a high dollar luxury hotel, but it's clean, everything was perfectly functional, and it was refreshing to see updated flat screens and good tv. The room was very spacious, and it was very cool to see most of the original, well maintained tile and fixtures. It was almost like living a minute in the 60s. I would absolutely recommend this place, and I'd definitely stay again. Thanks for the hospitality and awesome value.

You cannot beat the value

The owner is a drunk who gets super wasted, which explains why his wife is such a B word. They called police on me (after I had just paid for a 1 week stay with a extra 25$ a day fee for my dog,) for having a legally owned firearm and service animal. Guy didn't mind I had a dog until he got wasted later the same day, actually told me I couldn't walk the dog, nor leave him unattended in my room while I worked.guy told police I was a felon which was untrue and that my service dog scared him so much he couldn't sleep at night. I actually had to stay at the Baldwin city park for a week before I found a ride to Oklahoma

Total thieves, huge scam

i was locked out of my room at 4am in 40 degree weather called the front desk for help they told me they couldnt help then called me back and told me not to call and wake them up again im still in total disbelief worse motel experience ever not to mention dirty rooms no phones in some rooms tv didnt work or nothing real crappy place i will never stay again

Don't stop there, keep going. Yes it's cheap. But it stinks like curry. The tub was dirty when we checked in. I had to have housekeeping come clean it. There was a roach under my mother's pillow in the morning. The ice maker is broken. And the walls are paper thin. Just keep going, don't be tempted by thinking that this is an exaggeration, that it can't be that bad. Because that's what I thought after reading the other reviews.

Absolutely disgusting. I really should have looked at the room before paying. I lysoled the whole place and still couldnt stay. Cut my losses and moved on. I guess itd be ok if you didnt have a choice and didnt have kids. Dirty toilet with little flies in it and poo but had a "sanitized" paper on it. Smelled like piss. Dirty sheets in pull out sofa with cig burns.

Most DISGUSTING

After being there for three hours, I had to walk up the hill to the maids room and ask her for towels, washcloths and pillow cases. The air did not work, I ask for a fan, they did not have one, I ask for a refund, did not get one!!! They would not even reimburse me for what I paid for my fan!!!!
