This is a family owned property .. no smoking up here..The family is great and deserves all the respect ever as they are a family raising kids on that property.. the rooms are clean and it is really conveniently located right off 84 East .. I ten out of ten recommend

Always a quick and pleasant trip i come back often

Set on a dead end in Ashford, CT this property is at an advantage for everything. The area is dark in all the right places and the road is a dead end. The Ashford is also set in prime leaf peeping county and has a nice walking spot. (If that’s your thing)   The staff is a lovely local couple who will help you with patience and guidance. They were super patient with every question I asked.     Ashford has many features and many ways to enjoy the outdoors, including the Nipmuck Trail as well as several preserves managed by Joshua's Trust. Notable properties in town include The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, June Norcross Webster Scout Reservation, and Eastern Connecticut State University's Church Farm Center for the Arts and Sciences.   I stay at a lot of Hotels and twenty out of ten recommend the Ashford Motel.

Set on a dead end in Ashford this motel is super quiet. Super quiet means a great rest. Also it is owned by a local family. The family is a delight to do business with and because it is a family property it is super safe. I can say there are a lot of woods and a good road to walk on if this is your thing and the color of the leaves are at their prime right now.. a great leaf peeping spot ( if that is your thing). Come to tiny Ashford to the Motel with the cleanest bathrooms in the area, and super hot water.. Thank you to the bosses once again for your patience and kindness with me, and helping me understand the question I had.

Stayed overnight so most of questions don't apply.  Worst thing was lack of local TV stations on TV service.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and well put together. Highly recommend this motel. Amazing value. We will certainly return.

It was very friendly and private kids loved it

If all you need is a place to sleep while you’re out and about this will fill that need. Great for the price. Front desk girl was very friendly.

I had to find a cheap place on short notice and this place popped up.  The outside is well lit.  The motel is in a rural area that is surrounded by beautiful trees.  The staff was friendly and accommodating.  I loved the bed, and slept great.  There was a fridge and microwave,  and the staff came every morning to check in me and see if i needed anything.  Not the prettiest to look at but i enjoyed my stay and was pleasantly surprised.

Quaint motel in a beautiful rural setting.

We enjoyed our stay at this motel, which is located down a small road not far from I-84. The grounds are spacious and the motel faces trees and the sunrise. Occasionally you could hear the traffic from the interstate but mainly it was a quiet place, an older motel but in good condition. Everything worked. Our room had fridge & microwave. Wifi was passable. We were able to park right in front of our room, which is always a plus. We'd definitely stay here again.

This is an interesting place.  It is located by itself just off the highway.  It is well signed. It is in the woods .  It is a Budget hotel. It was very clean.  It had a quick check in.  It was busy with many out of state travellers. It had a very good tv and tv package.  There is nothing but woods around it but it does have pizza delivery from a location about 10 miles away that has an excellent reputation.  Basically convienient, clen and cost effective.  It will become my go to stop on my way home.

Perect for my needs

The quality of the environment here is remarkable! From the landscapes, to the service, accommodations, and even guests, every detail of these surroundings and comforts has brought me a sense of immense peace, and for that, I must give thanks and blessings in the highest for maintaining such a wonderful place.

The hard-working staff and owners heavily maintain, renovate and continue to improve the establishment with new lighting, signage, landscaping, and much more! Recently, the driveway area has been re-sealed, and there is a darling garden right in the middle of a main grassland common area!

The guests that stay are all generally friendly and courteous!

The owners are welcoming, and some even recommended good sightseeing areas and hiking trails very close by!

Stay here as you would Stay your own abode! Showers, TV, and Wifi put you in control of your own lifestyle! There are a few trails on the premises, so be sure to carry some insect repellant before venturing into the woods. 

If I said any more, I would have to write a book, but seriously, relax and enjoy your stay at the Ashford Motel!

Functionally Humble!

I think it will be A lot better once all the renovations are done Right it was very quiet Which was really nice

It’s a roadside motel with no frills. But it had no bugs.  wasn’t the worst smelling motel I’ve been to.  No big stains or gross things in the room. Suited just fine for a quick nice sleep and a hot shower.
