I would like to give them 4 stars but as a female traveling alone I didn't feel entirely safe from the time I pulled into the parking lot. I watched a drug deal happen in the parking lot right in front of the motel and one of the participants walked into the motel with what he received. A lot of locals seem to stay here. Probably because it's so cheap. Other than feeling nervous during my visit, I had no complaints at all with the room or service. Everything was clean. The AC worked fine. The bed was good etc. I would recommend it to others who aren't traveling alone. It's pretty cheap !

Not a bad motel just a shady location. 

It tends to be a safe area, if you're concerned.  I've never stayed here, but visited friends using the Aspen for short-term lodging.  Found the front desk to be professional, rooms to have amenities like microwaves and fridges, and the facility to be generally clean.  It's within walking distance of several terrific restaurants.  At $50 per night in a city motel, those are pretty good accolades.

Not as bad as the worst reviews

The rooms are out dated, the bedding is full of holes, dirty carpert. The place is full of crack heads and prostitute that are long term first and if you hear the staff talking about bb' s it's bed bugs and they have them.

Don't stay here

The towels were thin, and hard, like stiff boards.  They were about the size of my hand towels at home, and I needed 2 more.  The man there told me I must sign for them and return them to the front desk in the morning, or I would be charged for them.  Really? Who would steal them? Everything smelled like cigarette smoke.  Black mold was in the corner of the bathroom, and an old style TV took up most of the available dresser top. Very uncomfortable and shabby room. Not going near that place, ever.

A vision of Hell.

I stayed here on a whim. They don't do online booking, so I called and the clerk was friendly and helpful. The room was a bit outdated, but it was very clean and everything worked. The bed was more comfortable than I expected for the price. I would definitely stay again when I need a cheap no frills place to stay.
